In the past 48 hours, the Islamic State has been attacked by: US Air Force, Kurdish Military, Syrian Air Force, and Hezbollah has taken them on the Lebanese border (spill over from Syria). Today, the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia said they are the #1 enemy of Islam. Saudi Arabia has given Lebanon an extra billion $ to shore up their military.

The Islamic State has done something no diplomat could have done - they have become a common enemy of all the above. However, they are recruiting as we speak and the new recruits are coming from every continent.

We should capture as many as we can, and force molten pig fat down their gullets until they die. No Allah, no virgins.

Good memory. You're referring to my boyhood friend from Lyman Street in Laconia, NH, Ken Scroggs, who was murdered by terrorists in Riyadh in June of 2004. He loved my mother's chocolate cream pies. He married a girl named Estela ("Essie") from the Philippines.

Never met him but most here remember that day as he was not the only one killed. Sorry for your loss. I know it is hard to believe but it really is rare for an expat to come to an untimely demise here. The murder rate is several multiples lower than the US. On any given day there are around 50,000 Americans here is KSA.

I am awake. Here's the problem with the Middle East - they are all bad guys. ISIS is just the newest bad guy.

It would take much more than one American journalist to forget that.

I state it in every thread, but here it goes again. Our goal is for the Muslims to fight each other, without victory, forever.

And those people drop their weapons and run. It's a bottomless pit. I don't really support either options. We need to stop giving weapons, vehicles, ammo, etc. to these people without some form of compensation. Our country is broke.

America may not be able to help everyone and stop every threat. But if we don't go absolutely ballistic and destroy ISIS, I will not be happy. Let everything we have loose on them. No prisoners. Kill 'em all.

Why don't you go to Mexico because far more Christians have been beheaded there by gangs than in the middle east. I guess as long as it is Christians doing the beheading it is OK. Where are all the calls to bomb Cancun? I guess vilifying Christians does not sell as much advertising space as the evil Muslims. That's what this is about, what can the 24 hr news cycle get you glued to the tv over, how can they pitch laundry detergent and Toyotas to the most people. The fake outrage is really starting to crack me up.

One group is motivated by reason of greed and drugs, the other is motivated by religious ideology. Apples and oranges and I'm pretty sure you can distinguish between the two?

Actually these drug gangs tie their religious beliefs into their activities. Having patron saints they pray too who represent doing bad things.

Being religious and doing things in the name of religion are two different things, wouldn't ya think?

Of course but both actions are sick. Praying to a saint for protection to smuggle drugs or kill people is fricked up.

He's making a tremendous leap because it fits his narrative and he doesn't want to admit that Islam is violent and motivated by its religious ideology. He is grasping at straws.
