I know what a difference the tower makes offshore, only have used poling platforms on redfish boats. But I've watched you guys scout in them things, they are a game changer. Buddy just sold his majek and got tower boat. Sport is changing pretty quick, not a bad thing. Could only be expected with the Feds frickin with the offshore species.

Would love to Capt, but Friday is a no go,gotta work and also a conflict of interest. Know a lot of folks fishing a tourney in the area the next day, don't want to beat up their fish.

Man I can never find clear water like that in the marsh.

It'll get like that some places. Grass seems to help. I dunno if it catches sediment or helps drop it out or what.

Their fish? wtf does their fish mean? You buddy's with them gated canal types bro? That's illegal to fish private waters. What tourney is this weekend down there?

It's just a courtesy thing not about private or gated canals. We all kind of know the general areas where the typically heavier fish tend to hang out. No need for me to fun fish in the general area the day before a tourney for chance I make potentially check cashing fish spooky. I typically catch and release, but recently hooked fish can get a bit spooky. I just don't like the idea of doing that when there are plenty other areas across the state I can go beat up fish.
There is a Louisiana Saltwater Series tourney out of Delta Marina on Saturday.

If you're hanging out trips, I had to sell my flats boat and could use some charity

I've always liked chasing reds, but most of my fishing pals are more into offshore fishing. I spent the last few years trying to learn how to consistently put fish in the boat with purely artificial. After my son is born I'm saving up for another boat and want something like a Haynie. I really want to learn how to catch quality fish instead of just being happy making a limit. Still makes my heart race when I spot a big fish. Just do it out of a kayak for the time being.
