I just find is interesting that on the one hand some say the differences are mutations and on the other they are niches.

The 2 go hand in hand. What's the point of fish breathing air and becoming amphibians without environmental niches above water for them to fit into? If there was no land then a mutation that allows for breathing air wouldn't be very likely to spread.

That actually makes sense, but are the various forms/races of the species an off-shoot of a common lineage? Diversification and commonality imply single origin.

Yes, and that single origin came out of Africa.

Actually, they think two different lineages came out of Africa. Two out of Africas.

You do understand that even scientist and archeologist do not dispute the facts that are listed/given in the Old Testament, right?

I believe that the explanation can be traced back to the Bible, and Noah's three sons: Ham, Shem, and Japheth. I think I spelled their names correctly, but anyway. If I remember correctly, Ham is the father of the African nation, Japheth is the father of the Caucasian/European nation, and Shem is the father of the Asian nation.

All races/nationalities can be traced to these three men. Native Americans originally came from Asia, so they are the descendants of Shem. Hispanic/Latino peoples of Central and South America are a mixture of Asian/European, being descendants of indigenous Americans and Spanish/Portuguese.

So that's how the races came to be, from the three sons of Noah. Because, Noah and his family were the only surviving humans after the Great Flood, so they repopulated the Earth. I know everyone will not agree with this, but this is what I believe. I hope it helped answer your question!

So you think the splitting of Pangea happened after humans were around?

Proximity to outer space? The Aliens? Chance? Radiation from the sun?

Seriously, I would love to understand how through evolution people got darker based on proximity to the equator.

God could've created more people, or people period after the split.
