I'm not saying any of that. I'm just saying maybe we should consider that fact that Tyron Johnson is legitimately interested in leaving the state, rather than assuming he's trolling or lying.

A top 10 is just stupid. I still believe he is coming here though.

Especially this late in the process. April/May/June, a top 10 is fine. Mid-August? Not so much. I'm not going to make any prediction on him. I think a lot might be riding on whether or not we get Donte Jackson's signature. I actually feel really good about Jackson too.

Leading in August and hasn't even been on campus for an official visit? Yea I'm feeling good .

We pushed insanely hard for Quinn, hoping that effort pays off with Johnson!

Exactly what you said is, "It's time to move on." Big difference between that and "maybe we should consider he is legitimately interested in leaving the state."

Except CP3 incorrectly inferred that I was calling out TJ's character. I was not. That's what he was asking about. And maybe it is time to move on. What else can we do to change his mind? He's been on campus numerous times and still puts us below schools he's never visited. He obviously isn't enamored with what he sees at LSU.

Throwing up the "Buga" sign one day, then announcing Clemson as his leader the next... Obviously suspect, but I'm not at all concerned about the receiver position this cycle. Just need to lock up Mykel Jones next year.

His hand sign doesn't mean the same thing as Buga. It's something else.

He's possibly the best WR in the country, and he lives 65 miles from campus. You don't quit recruiting a kid like that.

FWIW I do not believe he is trolling or lying. I believe he is seriously considering going elsewhere.

I also believe that if we continue to recruit the hell out of him and our passing offense looks remotely legit we will eventually get his signature.

This indeed does seem to be the case.

This is even more true. When it comes to "moving on" the Staff has to decide where to invest valuable resources of time (currently very limited staff, that will change somewhat) and there is money to consider. However, TJ is worth the investment even if he listed LSU as #20 on his list. There is no mistaking that LSU is behind... problem identified and time to go to work. I have no doubt LSU is and will continue to pursue. Even then, it's possible we still lose this battle.

Clemson fan, I downvoted you just out of principle. No apologies. But you do speak some truth. I do thank you for pointing out that LSU did win the Quinn battle with Clemson, it irks me that so many ignore the battles LSU wins and will only talk about the ones "we let get away".

Maybe all TJ is trying to do is make sure LSU has a passing offense before he commits to playing here.

Maybe he feels it a good idea to have people thinking he may go out of state so there will be less backlash if he does go that route. That's certainly better than stringing the home school along then flipping.

Maybe he does indeed want to play OOS, which is fine.

Maybe he's trolling the other fanbases and is already a silent to LSU.

Maybe its not a good idea to follow the whims of a high schooler 6 months before he has to make a decision.

DEFINITELY he should take however long he wants and not give a shite about what some whiny arse fans think.

when this did happen? He had a top 10 out the other day in no order. Now he has a top four and his old #1 isn't in it?

I am not scared of Clemson if we can show we can throw the ball.

Besides one or two random posters I haven't seen many people saying he's a lock. I don't buy that he's just trolling by saying he likes OOS schools, but it's just as silly to assume LSU should give up on him with as much time as he spends here on his own dime. Especially considering, by his own word, we're on the list in no order. He's been camping at LSU for years now, it isn't crazy to assume he just wants to see what else is out there. This is my opinion, but it's pretty telling to me that he seems to be big on a school for a month or two then moves on to the next leader. Six months ago he was all aTm, then Tech, then rumblings about Arizona and Okie State, now Clemson. Not one school has been consistently on his board like LSU. I'll take those odds all day.

Def a lock bobby! shite isn't that serious dude damn! I did actually learn a lot last year, and that's who gives a shite bc the kid will do what he wants to do no matter what. After Willis picked FL over LSU I gave up trying to care. It made zero since yet happened. LSU is gonna kick some arse no matter what bc we have the staff and brand name to do so, also have a talent rich state. LSU is here to stay no matter where these go kids deside to go. We gonna get some and we gonna lose some. I do want the kid though, hell I want every talented kid we have a shot at and the ones we think we don't have a shot at. McFadden, beckner, and Johnson would be cool to go with Tolliver
