You know it's like 100 degrees, right? Screw everything about running when the sun is up.

FBD is a homebrew brett belgian pale ale. It needs a name. HBBBPA is a mouthful. I'm open to suggestions. Brewed with a pils base. Hops were Falconer's Flight 7C. Added hibiscus and rosehips.

Kim, how is the local beer store selection/freshness going?

I get back Wednesday morning and will be making a beer run. Mathernes slacking or should I pass by there? Calandros? Qbin?

Falconer's Flight 7C, you say? Hibiscus and rosehips?

Based on that, I think the obvious name is "frick Ole Miss".

Matherne's on Highland is still slacking. Calandro's and BinQ are a little better. I made a run Friday and Saturday, but there is just not a lot of fresh product out there right now.

The Chimes, on the other hand, continues to step up its game.

Cool. I guess I'll be stopping at Calandros on the way in. Mathernes is disappointing now with the beer. Their wine selection is still pretty good though

So confused. You're in Texas. Why wouldn't you just load up there?

I've not heard this. I was told that we wouldn't be seeing it anymore for a while but who knows?

Eta: I think GE is right

NBD - Mazama Mosaic Hopped Eruption Pale. This is really nice from a new brewery in Corvallis that is getting a nice reputation.

Glad I could help.

Really, I don't know why there aren't 50 beers with that name. Apologies to Milo...

Ohhhhhhh. I gotcha. I thought the boat was off the coast there. My bad.

We stopped in the Calandro's on Government Friday on the way to Whole Foods. I was pleasantly surprised. Not an outstanding selection of hops, but some solid stuff to be had. I picked up three bombers and talked myself out of about two more.

The place where I am is has refrigerators on the perimeter. You can grab beers out of the cooler and bring them to the bartender and he will pour it for you. Bottle shop prices, so it's cheap. No bottles of BCBS, though, just on tap.

ETA: This Mazamz pale is nice.
