I didn't fish it but I went by Bridge Side. Seemed like a great event, fishing aside.

Great event, but the fishing sucked. I'd much rather fish a marsh redfish tournament with artificial only.

750 boats no marsh to fish between fourchon and GI, that would be tough to do. It's usually pretty good this time of year that's why they schedule it at this time. Probably the cold winter.

Weren't spcifically talking about rtb. Just general tournaments.

Heard today it was the fewest number of fish weighed in at RTB including the first year when there were <100 people.

Yeah, I think that cold winter has pushed them back a month. They will probably be thick in the pass next month.

Something is wrong with the Grand Isle fishery when only 25 redfish are caught out of 751 anglers and the largest red doesn't even break the 26 pound mark. Weather was beautiful today. One of the LWLF guys told a few of us today that something is wrong with the fishery because these reds should be stacked right now especially with the earlier than usual cold fronts that have already started coming through.

Glad to see a Yolo Board win it though.

It was a good time. Calmwater Charters and everyone involved did a great job putting it together. Even with 700 boats plus, everything went well. No wait to launch or to get food or register. They managed the crowd well and were very organized. Hats off to them.

That being said, that will likely be my last one. A 3% catch rate isn't near enough to justify going back. I had fun and was glad to meet Doc and LSUson, but tight lining all day for no fish seemed like kind of a waste.

They need to organize one in Lake Pontchartrain for Tarpon & Jacks. Ride the Jack or Ride the Tarpon would be epic.

I just followed a rainbow. Sure as shite, he was hanging out on a pot of gold at the end.

I believe there is a jack tournament in lake P. I don't think they caught a single jack last year though. So I guess you have a better shot at RTB!

All kidding aside, he's not that small. Really, he's almost as big as a normal person.

I think they have one of the Jacks called "Yak a Jack."

Wasn't hard. Just look for a guy running along elmers island chasing a rod in the water attached to a shark.

That fricker was fast. Even with the extra weight slowing him down.
