Who's making a comparison? Simply showed examples of QB's that have done well while not exhibiting a lot of mobility. Mobility not as big an issue in pros as was in college.

Mobility issues only. Didn't think I really needed to say that I wasn't saying Mett is on their level.

Disagree. The best QB's in the league today are pocket passers still. All this kapernick craze and some of these others really have benefited from there defense and running games more than there quarterbacking abilities. If they surround him with the right people, he can have a very good career. Because Mett can play from the pocket unlike some others, he stands a better chance.

Peyton Manning and Tom Brady say hello. Mett looks great for being two games into a pro career. Think about how good he looks compared to some of the other non starting QBs that get time in the preseason.

Pump the brakes fella ... A game where there was no game planning against him and he was playing against mostly rookies himself ....

Now I agree he did better than most in that situation and you can see he is very talented ....

IMO he will go far as long as he keeps putting in the work, but lets not give him a yellow jacket just yet ....

One INT had zero to do with Mett. Hit the WR in the hands and bounced up weird for the INT.

This. If he rides the pine for a year of two, he'll be Damn good in the NFL. He's still putting it into a lot of tight Windows. I think some of it is confidence and some is bad decisions.

What brakes do I need to pump? Did you just gloss over the second sentence?

Gotta be one of the dumbest statements I've read on the rant in a long, long time.

Not too shabby for a sixth rd pick

I said it then and I'll say it again... Mett is as good a passer as any other QB in his draft AND he has plenty of mobility to be a hall of famer one day.

His going that late in the drafft will end up being the biggest regret of a dozen or more teams who passed on him .

Two seasons from now he will start for someone and win for them.

He wasn't comparing Mett to those guys, talent wise. You missed the point.

There are very few just "pocket passers". Nearly every at least decent QB to come into the league the last few years, are either dual threat, or very mobile.

Besides Rodgers, name an elite QB that's isn't a pocket passer.

I hope he does good and I am glad he had such a good performance after an ACL injury.
