I don't believe him. Even white people who may hold some prejudice aren't going to be suspicious of a black guy dressed like a businessman like this guy is saying he looks like.

Yes, I've campaigned statewide. Duke had an astonishingly large base, most of which were the hard core racists of north Louisiana. You cannot have campaigned up there without that being abundantly clear. So, he ran for office, again and again. That was his job. He knew he had enough support to make money via fundraising, but more significantly, that he could broker deals with his endorsement.

No one is saying that Buddy was worse. He just didn't have the support of the Christian whacko, the traditional LA R base, which considered him to be an outsider, having been Harvard educated and distant from LA for much of his life, IMO. He was also useless as governor, which didn't help. These things, combined with Holloway eating up a sizeable chunk of his base, led to Buddy being ousted and Duke getting the nomination. It was embarrassing, but anyone but Edwards would have beaten him much worse.

When did I deny this? I just wanted objective data supporting KCT's claim that its a fact/truth that "black people are far more racist than white people in 2014 America."

They are, but they seem to think, as you do, that there is historical justification for it, or that they just aren't racist at all because blacks can't be racist. Only whites can. But, who can blame them when self-hating white activist pukes are the ones foremost in spreading the notion it is impossible for blacks to be racist and that all whites are racist, genetically evil enslavers of the black man.

I think some people need a lesson here as to the difference b/w facts and opinions.

You seem like a smart cat OMMG, clearly there are no facts to back up his claim.

But to this I say, if you go back to the days where racism against blacks was prevalent, if a black man were accused of raping, killing, or basically talking the wrong way to a white person what did the white people do? They formed a mob, yelled rhetoric about justice and punished people who didn't even have anything to do with it..

Fast forward to today. What happens when a white person kills a black person? A mob is formed, they yell rhetoric about justice and they usually take it out on people who had nothing to do with what they're angry about.

So you tell me, what makes one better than the other? Can YOU see the parallels? While I don't know if blacks are more racist than whites, I can tell you that if a black person kills a white person people aren't gathering in mobs looking to mess sh*t up. If you can't see this then you aren't looking very well.

Most of the people who would have voted for him were the older generation , wouldn't you agree?

I wouldn't agree with that at all. I saw him work the student section at an LSU football game to enthusiastic greetings, saw the Duke sign in DKE's front yard, and saw lots of twentysomethings with Duke bumper stickers. He had plenty of young support. Did every young person vote for him? of course not, but he had plenty of young support. It wasn't a generational thing at all. Of course nobody will admit voting for him, now.

Nobody mentions that some of Duke's Welfare reform ideas became law. He was popular because he addressed issues no one else would, but unacceptable still, because of his past.
It was really embarrassing to have to choose between a Crook and a Klansman. I chose not to vote at all.

I found out that my college educated, white collar uncle and his wife were voting for Duke. It diminished them both greatly in my eyes. The most disappointing revelation about a family member I ever experienced.

I believe racism is alive and well. Probably not nearly as bad as in the 40s,50s and 60s. As a white person I can feel the hatred from blacks in certain situation. For what it's worth blacks kill more blacks than white people do. If I was a Black man I would be more concerned with blacks when it comes to my safety than whites.

In the thread he replied to someone that felt bad for him. His reply:

quote:

Thanks, but you shouldn't apologize for what other people do. A lot of people in my culture like to make other people feel bad and that annoys me.

I don't see how this is any different.

He doesn't explicitly say where he's from, but is username is monroeliving.

So I'm guessing Monroe, LA.

Buddy Roemer signs Pro-life bill that was passed by legislature like he promised he would have won easily in a run-off.

People were tired of politics as usual in Louisiana and Duke presented himself as a reform candidate. He publicly denied being involved with KKK any longer during his campaigns... unfortunately with the political climate at the time too many people wanted to believe that hence the short lived political phenomenon of David Duke.

If people are as racist as Navy wants you to believe Duke would not have fallen off the map politically as he did. When Duke could no longer afford not being a racist pimp the sheets came back on...

After reading his rant, I'm wondering.. Do white people act any differently toward cops than what this guy describes?

I understand his problem with being pulled over because he's back - I obviously haven't experienced that. But even if a cop pulled me over with thr intent of telling me I was having a nice hair day, I still act like I'm one wrong word away from a nightsticking

What's funny is I could write the same post, but I'm white so it wouldn't mean anything.

His only experience based on facts, not merely perception, is his police experience. I've had many similar experiences, and it's one of the reasons I despise cops. I also would never call them for help, unless absolutely necessary.

His experiences aren't anything out of the ordinary for a common person.

Though only 12% of the U.S. population, Blacks commit more than half of all rapes and robberies and 60% of all murders in the U.S.

A Black person is 56 TIMES more likely to attack a White person than Vice Versa.

Black rapists choose White victims over half (54.9%) of the time, 30X as often as Whites choose Blacks.

In New York City, any White is over 300 TIMES MORE LIKELY to be assaulted by a gang of Blacks than is a Black by a gang of Whites.

But yet reddit thinks being around white people is unsafe. He would be really upset and crying if he was white. Blacks are by far the most racist and violent people in this country.
