The popcorn in the green bag (herbs and spices or something). So good.

Chocolate covered caramels. Usually near the checkout.

I live down the street and still don't go. The crowds are unreal. Store just isn't laid out to handle the amount of people that go in.

I guess I pick the right times to go...the only time it's been really crowded for me was on Sunday afternoon/evening.

Metairie is the word.

Shreveport & Lafayette are also contestants.

Steamed lentils in the produce section. Hummus. I love the coconut cream (grocery section) for a non-dairy whip replacement. I get organic salads from there because they are cheap. Dolmas. Chili pepper hot sauce. Baked tofu. Vegetable masala burgers. Soy cherry chocolate chip ice cream

Mornings are key. Weekend mornings are okay but after 11 and it's crowded. And of course the everyday afternoon crowds

People in grocery stores generally just have no grasp of personal space or manners, so I get annoyed easily.

I don't even think traffic on the road makes me as angry as grocery store patrons

I've been plenty of times and it was never overly packed with people

Every time I've been, I'm dodging people.

It's just not big with wife aisles like an Albertsons or something so it's inevitable that people are much more in the way. Especially since it's stocked with products that people want to investigate closely (unlike a regular store).

I like the store; I just have a hard time motivating myself to go.

Plus, sometimes the intersection and parking lot alone make me turn around and go home

these are excellent, but they haven't carried them in the BR store in months. they tend to carry an item for several months then drop it entirely.

Exactly my experience yesterday at TJ's. I thought this one lady was going to crawl up inside of me she was getting so close. I am done with that place

The not from concentrate pineapple juice is incredible. I buy 3 cartons every time I'm there.

It's tight up in there, but it doesn't bother me. Everyone is so damned nice that I still enjoy it...

After a few rides on your Mardi Gras float, I can say TJ's aisles must seems spacious.

I was in there this week, and the manager grabbed an employee to open a register to check me out just because there were 2 people in all the other lines. Never met a friendlier group of employees-wonder if they could transfer a few to Lowes and Home Depot?

The aforementioned Edamame crackers dipped in Sunflower butter (next to the peanut butter). GREAT stuff.

Truth.

It seems genuine, too. It's like the TJ team has a pre-work meeting and smokes a couple spliffs or something. The overall awesome attitude there just makes me a happy person, no matter the crowd.

Most TJs I've been to were roomier than most of the Whole Foods I've been to. I'm sure there are exceptions, but that has been my experience.

I don't have a particularly strong feeling towards TJs either way. I don't think of it as a real grocery store. Produce is pretty underwhelming, way too much frozen stuff, and it seems like half their stock is stuff you'd find on the middle aisles of a regular grocery store.

It's not a grocery store. It's exactly what you said - A niche shop that specializes in frozen and middle aisle stuff.

To be fair though, their stuff to me tastes a whole lot better then middle aisle food you'd find at any big chain grocery store.

they have had the within the last 3 months. I get them frequently. They were unavailable for a while though. I can tell you they are back and ready to be eaten now
