This, I wrote someone up on my jobsite today for wearing coasta's.
I could have wrote people up for glasses all day. Instead, I gave Crossfires out and was in a good mood. TA just started.
Are you in safety?

Industrial M frames Mr. Prick safety guy. I have gone over and around this issue with safety guys in the tower industry. I have even been the Mr.Prick safety guy. Just another reason Oakleys are better than Costas.

Oakley does have safety glasses. You can also get them in prescription lenses.

As an eye doc I DO NOT think Costas are safety glasses. I have carried them for over 15 years, I have never seen a safety frame from them. Not to say it's not possible but if it is I am not aware of it.

It pisses me off when these manufacturers say their glasses meet all ANSI specs but never put it on the frame. Wiley X is one that always perplexed me.
Posted on 8/23/17 at 1:48 pm to upgrayedd
They say their glasses are "designed" to ANSI standards, which is not the same as meeting, testing and being stamped as meeting the standard. They are all cool and stuff, but they're not safety glasses.

Yep, he used to live by me but I haven't heard a peep from him in a while.

EDGE SAFETY EYEWEAR have the best ANSI Polarized options by far and very affordable. Grainger, Vallen and others have them locally .www.edgeeyewear.com I can find you a distributor anywhere in La.

I have a pair of prescription Wiley X safety glasses and it is clearly stamped on the frame.

We routinely do Wiley X for safety glasses. Stamped both on frame and lenses.

Five guys were in the area when the pipe blew. All but one were wearing certified safety glasses.

Had a meeting with our Costa sales rep a few months ago, and things are in the works for a z87.1 compliant lens.
