IIRC, they booed Yedlin at the beginning of the game
I would probably hate the shite out of Clint Dempsey if he played for my favorite team's rival, so I get that

Bayern should have just came out hard, went up 3-0 and let the game coast to an end. Instead, MLS hung around tied it up and saw a win in sight. At that point, no way to stop the competitive juices and a chance to show up a top team.
Next time Pep (and I hope there isn't), put it away early.
Worst part for me is him trying to usher his players off the field. It's one thing to be a douche but to try and get your players to do the same, shame shame. Much respect for those guys who hung around an did the game justice.
Nobody else found it funny that playing the best German squad, MLS did a great impersonation by being the more physical team? Against anyone else... I don't like it but they are the top German team, Germany won the World Cup... no problem with players going out to get theirs.

I totally get the Dempsey booing, but I was confused why they would cheer for Yedlin. I would boo him as well if I was a Timbers fan.

Yea this looked possibly worse than snubbing Caleb Porter. Him trying to tell his players not to shake hands and go to the locker room. Looks childish and bad branding for the club. The fans seemed to have notice the snub and was boo'ing the crap out of Pep.

World Cup hero who is about to leave Seattle for Europe?

Hero? Eh. Clint was the captain of the USMNT and scored and played through a broken nose.

Do you not watch the Pro Bowl or NBA All Star game?
I don't think I have EVER watched the pro bowl. I think I watched an NBA all star game when Bird and Johnson were playing though I really don't remember the game. I do remember watching the dunk contest as a kid with Wilkins. Since then...no. What I don't remember hearing about, is a coach of one All Star team acting like a bitch because someone decided to play defense against Jordan though.

well Pete Rose destroyed Ray Fosse in an All-Star game and changed his career (he still played for a while but was limited). That caused a lot of stir.

I just rewatched the game because I was at a restaurant last night during the first half and couldn't watch it closely.
1) Thierry Henry bossed the first half. A couple deadly crosses, some great flicks and tricks, his volley that just went over the goal. Glad he got a credit for his performance in this game (and career) when he was subbed out, especially if it was his last ASG. He will be back in KC one more time on the final match day of the regular season, I will already be there anyways, but if it is his last season, it will be an honor to see him play one more time.
2) MLS wasn't the only team playing physical, Bayern had their share of physical challenges, though MLS had a couple late challenges.
3) Both teams impressed me and played some quality football, very entertaining game for me from start to finish.
4) This was a game where both teams were missing some key players, not just Bayern. Robbie Keane, Kyle Beckerman, Jermain Defoe, Omar Gonzalez, and Chad Marshall were all gone for MLS.
5) The MLS All-Star Team has been solid the last couple years and will be even better next year. Hopefully they can continue to beat, or at least play well against, the best teams in Europe.
6) If Schweiny had a slight knock going into the game, why even play him in a friendly? Injuries happen no matter the situation, look at Marco Reus or Paul George. Pep shouldn't have even played them if he was going to be mad that the opposing team was playing to win the game.

Henry and Donovan were the best part of the game.

I wasn't clear. Dempsey would probably be harder to cheer for. Yedlin's hair looks stupid, but he doesn't spend the entire game talking shite.

Yeah, that too.
Lewa's goal was pretty filthy.
So, are the MLS All-Stars qualifying for Champions League this year? They have beat two of the last three UCL winners.

La Liga was actually pretty good last year.
