West Virginia's administration was not amused by their Mountaineers #1 ranking several years in a row, so they took aggressive steps to change it. I guess it's working, albeit very slowly.

Hard to believe WVU isnt #1. That place is a mad house 24/7.

It's the same as Iowa. All of the cold weather northern schools outside of major metro areas are the same in this regard. People get blasted for months on end and frick like rabbits because there is absolutely nothing else to do.

Ole Miss as well. And unlike many of the pics on there, this is from this year:

The leadership at wvu is really trying to shed this reputation the last several years. They are tearing down all the old party houses and putting up bullshite cookie cutter apartments. The police are starting to actually enforce the laws, and burning coaches is now a felony with automatic expulsion.

Schools request that Princeton Review place them lower/not even on this list at all.

Princeton Review party school rankings have long been worthless.

I don't get why LSU hates the party school reputation so much. They should embrace it, it's not like it will detract from actual academic growth.

iowa has epic house parties. I can totally see this. The vibe sure has changed in the last 20 years though.

Once upon a time the party ranking was a source of pride when universities and colleges were more exclusive and "partying" was not as debauched and dangerous as it is now. Now these rankings correlate with STDs, alcohol deaths, heavy drug use and general retardation. Glad LSU is not on the list. This is a list of students trying to out idiocy the others.

When the popo started cracking down and raiding house parties to get their MIP revenue back after the twenty-one-only ordinance, the kids threw a big go frick yourself to authority.

They all started a movement refusing to answer the door when he police came, refused to allow anyone to leave, and continued partying trough the night, daring the police to smash the doors in.

Last I heard the city was contemplating passing an ordinance to allow a disorderly house fine to be given to any resident of a house that refused to answer the door upon receipt of a complaint.

It seems like house parties are a much bigger thing in Big Ten country than dow here.

I have friends at a directional school in Michigan that will get the cops called to their house for anything resembling a "party."

The following schools have earned a spot on Playboy's 2014 Top 10 Party Schools list:

1. University of Pennsylvania
2. University of Wisconsin
3. West Virginia University
4. University of Arizona
5. University of Iowa
6. University of California, Santa Cruz
7. University of Miami
8. Colorado State University
9. University of Texas
10. Syracuse University

Always legit.
