Just watched his video. Nice get for LSU - really good hands and balance, makes good adjustments with the ball in the air. Showed some good blocking skills.

Welcome to LSU, Mr. Mouton!

you have to block to play for the veer machine.

Told some of you in the previous mouton thread not to worry. Acadiana is all about LSU. Nice to see another player from my alma mater play for the tigers.

I honestly don't remember the last time LSU didn't get a recruit from Acadiana that they wanted, and I don't mean the high school I mean the area.

He can not like it all he wants, but when LSU knocks at acadiana the players always go there. Broussard, Cutrera, Theriot(was a good qb for acadiana but tore his knee up in jamboree and moved to texas) Alleman, Eugene, and now Mouton. The only one who didnt go was journet and he said it was because auburn called him the last day and LSU didnt. He ended up going juco and not making it to d1

just watched the video on Dandy Don again. Mouton has one of those lumbering muscular strides which is deceptively fast and powerful. He's tough over the middle and looks like a strong blocker. He must have really shown something during live drills with the coaches to outperform his video. He looks solid.

Surprised no one has commented on my writing "there" instead of "their" on my post. This will be once again a top 3 class.

I'm one of moutons biggest advocates on this board, but if you think he compares to Marcus spears then you don't remember how truly great spears was.

When mouton can carry an offense by himself playing te, qb, and rb, as well as carry a defense by himself playing every spot on the line and win a state championship. And then carry a basketball team to winning a state championship while being a 6'3" 275 center that could grab a rebound, take it coast to coast, spin move, and dunk it, I'll agree he looks like spears.

Because those are things I saw spears do in person.

Perhaps if Mouton played 1A ball he could do the same.

Yeah, it was the quality of competition that allowed him to do that, not the athleticism that led to a decade long NFL career.

At this point, you don't know whether Mouton will have a better NFL career. Furthermore, I didn't see anyone claim that he'll be better than Spears, just that he reminded them of Spears. You act like somebody who took a few classes with Marcus so you feel the need to bro-champ.

He didn't even end up playing TE in college, so I'm not sure why you're so offended by the comparison.
