Well, the only thing people have seen from Harris so far is the spring game, and he did have better stats than Jennings there. One scrimmage isn't enough to throw all of spring practice out the window, though. Les and Cam have seen these guys a lot more than we have, and I trust them to play the QB who gives us the best chance to win.

247 had him as the #3 Dual Threat QB coming out of high school.

Rivals had him as the #5 QB.

I know you love Harris. He's your boy. That's cool. Seriously, that's cool. Support him all you want

I support both qb's, but I think from seeing what i've seen, that harris is better. both are young qb's, i'd rather play the one with the higher ceiling and younger if LSU is going to takes it's lumps regardless with a young qb.

Count me as suspect. See 1/9/12 and the tail end of the 2011 season.

After the 9-6 W in Gumpland in 2011.
LSU-42 WKU-9
LSU-52 Ole Miss-3
LSU-41 Arkansas-17
SEC Championship
LSU-42 Georgia-10

Outscored opponents 177-39
Score 41 or more in every game. That seems like reason enough to trust the coaches.

And while I hate what happened 0n 1/9/12, the fact is that LSU's defense only allowed 1 TD and Bama's D was as good as it has ever been.
We can argue whether our offense sucked because their D was so good or their D was so good because our offense sucked due to poor game planning/management. I suspect it was a little of both. But that was with an OC that was not really cut out for the job. We have a MUCH b etter OC now.

outperformed jennings in the spring practices.

lol no. He outperformed him in the spring game. From all accounts of people who went to scrimmages or saw practices (this including fans and media) Jennings was ahead of Harris in all of them. You can look back at threads, read old articles, because it's in every one of them.

Also, Jameill Showers beat Johnny Manziel in his spring game in 2012, we see how that turned out.

Your posts history on Harris for a long time now, reeks of you having almost a personal connection to him. As you are constantly knighting him, while bashing Jennings. I don't care if you are crazy about Harris, you don't have to bash down the other guy just to build your favorite up.

I really don't care who wins, because I want both to be very good.

Does everyone forget that Harris is actually older than Jennings? Maturity wise they should be equal. Jennings has the benefit of longer in the system but I think having more talent should outweigh having more experience.

Jennings has no real advantage over Harris really (I do not consider 1 game and 1 drive and a year "in the system" as any kind of advantage) and the spring game basically turned in to the Brandon Harris show. It's obvious that the coaches favor him.

Miles has been talking about how freshmen will play a huge role this year and he's not talking about LF(we all know he will play) and Malachi and Quinn (lots of depth at WR.)

Oh good, it's the JJ/JL debates all over again. I'm so glad to see this coming back.

I mean my God, people do usually struggle in their first couple of outings.

Not really. Guys that have "it" usually show it pretty quickly. Sure, young guys make mistakes, but guys who can play usually show it right out of the gate.

As for Jennings, he had one good drive against Arky, but laid an egg against Iowa. Looked indecisive and lost. And this was after he had an entire month of practice as the starter, so he should've had a decent comfort level. Then he had all spring and stunk it up again in the spring game.

Maybe these two performances are aberrations, but I'm guessing not.

On the road. LSU typically plays bad AT Auburn. We've lost 5 of the last 7 games at Auburn. They will want revenge. Chalk that baby up as a loss.

hmm, it would be nice if he's as good as the best receiver the conference has ever seen...

If Harris is the next Winston, then by all means start him.

We can only expect to keep the good one 3 years anyway.

If he takes his lumps, so be it.

Why are you assuming an Auburn loss? They will not be as good as they were last year. We ran the ball all over them and will probably do the same this year
