5 straight #1 recruiting classes will get you high preseason rankings.

Why do yall think the coach voters would vote alabama ahead of lsu, especially at #2?

LSU was preseason #15 in the coaches poll and #14 in the AP poll in 2003.

I have absolutely no problem w/ Bama @ #2. I wish they were #1 and had all the hype in the world going into our game w/ them...then we beat the living shite out of them.

There are few things sweeter in life than seeing Bamers compltely melt down at the hands of our beloved Tigers.

Perfect spot to start off at, in my opinion. Close enough to the top but still relatively "under the radar."

Bama isn't the best team in the country?? Blasphemy!!

2. The Coaches Poll does still determine who wins the beloved crystal football, which will tend to become one of many items that accompany the new national championship trophy. The crystal football will try to convince you of its indefatigable majesty, though.

Great so now we can have an AP Champ, Coaches Champ, and Playoff Champ.

Perfect spot to be. Looks like #13 against #14 should be one hell of a game.

Alabama #2. Yeah because they are Bama. You lose what 2 or 3 starters on the Oline and your starting QB and a lot of question marks in their defensive backfield and still come in at #2

The playoff committee better follow the major polls. We could have three different champions otherwise.

The BCS may have left out a #1 ranked team, but I don't see that happening with a 4-team playoff. As long as they have a final poll after the playoff, I don't think we'll have any co-champions.

Was the Coaches Poll supposed to stop giving out their trophy?

But I can't imagine the winner of the playoff not being voted number 1 in the polls.

They are apparently expected to break the losing STREAK that they are on.

The Egg Bowl teams not gettin any respect here and what about Mizzou? They return their QB who isn't bad. Not even ranked? Texas shouldn't even be here they are trying to figure out how to win 6 games.

6-12 couldn't beat this LSU team on a neutral site but mayb 3 out of 10 times. That's how I would rank em. This D will be much better than people think and the offense will be fine. Lack of quality depth at DT may hurt us though.
