So in other words, I know far more about the event I'm criticizing than you do.

So a social event like this is unique to New Orleans? Am I to believe that at social events in all other areas of the world every single individual in attendance is there solely in relation to the "cause?" At every charity event, the people are there solely for the charity?

Look, you may be right that the vast majority of those attending the WLN in New Orleans are there only to see and be seen, but how is that any different than a lot of other social gatherings? People are social creatures. I attend various events for all types of reasons, including just to enjoy the company of friends.

You're free to hate the event and the people that attend it of course. I don't really care either way. I'm just not too uptight about how people enjoy themselves.

Anyway to answer the OP if you show up in anything non-linen to WLN they will stone cold turn you away. I got a couple pairs of organic nuthuggers from this site and it's worked well for me.

You can also pick you up some linen maxi pads for that "special someone" who doesn't want to ruin her white dress

Linen nuthugger bump; if you order same-day shipping you can still get them delivered in time.
