this! there's no need for them to put up with that alleged BS, and I don't believe the guys that work there arse off to get there would so easily risk losing it, Kyle was a blowhard, lying product of supply and demand, if he was a SEAL at all, when in periods of peak demand, standards are usually lowered, and he didn't fit the mold at all

He was in BUDs class 233, the class started with 108 men, only 23 finished, 75-80% attrition has been the norm for decades.

There is ZERO doubt he was a SEAL, a warrior, a good American and probably a cool dude to be around. I never implied he wasn't those things. It is just a fact of life that "war stories" are a fact of life. I have been in several no shite situations in my life and distinctly remember thinking "this isn't half as cool as any of the stories" and way more scary to boot. People just need to accept him and his book for what it was and move on.
Ventura did what he had to do "for his reputation" but if he accepts that money or doesn't donate it then he is a fricking liar.

I'm under the impression that JV just wanted a retraction/apology/his name cleared. He only went after the money AFTER they wouldn't give him that.
