I don't think the bottom row was ever supposed to have windows. If they did this corridor would be a fricking oven in September.

That's what I was thinking when I saw this picture. I really think they are done with windows, maybe the outside completely.

Dang, good point. Excellent point. I was waiting for those windows, but they're done with that.

But they're not done with the stucco, guys!

. Selling us these seat cushions for $50 each a year, when they could have replaced all the Endzone seats with chairbacks by now.

Doesn't LSU have some of the most chairback seating in college football?

Yep. Right up there with Arkansas, who is almost 100%.

ETA: More like 25%, haha.

Thought so.

Plus if they did add chairbacks the TAF fee would rise, one would think.
I think people are just fine paying $50 or sit on the bleachers.

Razorback Stadium is far from 100%. LSU definitely has way more chairback seating

Yeah, looking at pictures, I realize I misspoke. They have a whole endzone, though. Maybe like 30%. We're about 35%

Yeah the sidelines and upper decks are entirely bleacher seating. I thought it was a nice stadium, though.

Why would they ever do that? Hmm... spend money to upgrade every seat to a chair-back? Or have 60% of the attendees pay us $50 for a seat cushion?

Yes spent the money WE Donate on Tradition fees ONE Time for the Common folk

To be honest the Chairbacks could have been paid for by now, and you would show that you care about All the Tiger fans and not just the HIGH Dollar one.

Plus it would look terrific. But sad to say, we know terrific only happen once in the last 4 projects/renovation by LSU. On the NEZ paint and windows.

How much is this renovation costing?

I thought I read 70 million, but it seems like a low number to me.

Are both locker rooms being shown here?

If not, I am curious what the opposing teams look like-thanks

Nope, that's accurate.

Good question. It's hard to tell them apart, if so.

ETA: While you're here, Apex. Sorry for calling you a bad word a few weeks ago... :(

Sev09, they aren't done with the stucco on the outside?

I certainly hope they're not. The area hasn't been touched in over a month and lighting is installed so I assumed it was not being done. Not to mention the equipment has been moved too.

The expansion would certainly look better if it was all stucco and not a mixture like it is now.

And $80 million according to NOLA.com...

LSU's Tiger Stadium South end zone expansion one month from completion

By Jim Kleinpeter, NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune
uly 22, 2014 at 5:54 PM, updated July 22, 2014 at 6:50 PM

LSU isn't quite finished building it. Tigers' athletic director Joe Alleva knows they will come, at least on Sept. 6.

"They'll be here; I have no doubts," Alleva said Tuesday during a media tour of the $80 million expansion of Tiger Stadium's South end zone upper deck, which will propel capacity to 102,321, second largest in the SEC and fifth in the nation.

NOLA.com

I don't think I've ever seen a project where the numbers involved changed so much or so often. Seating, number of suites, total capacity, suite capacity, amount of standing room only space...it seemed it varied upon a daily basis or according to who you asked.

Alright...who designed the lockers to meet up like that in the corners?!? haha

I'm hoping that's the designated kicker corner, because there's no way two large guys are going to occupy those middle two lockers spaces with having their knees bumping each other the entire time.

And Jim Kleinpeter wrote both of those articles.

I imagine the final number will be around $80 million.

Jim Kleinpeter is right.

Stucco is finished.
