Lobbing shells, firing missiles, and dropping bombs isn't going to do much more than kill a lot of innocent people and destroy a lot of infrastructure. IMO, if the IDF wants to root out and defeat their enemy, they're going to have to take the fight directly to where the enemy is located, building by building, tunnel by tunnel.

Palestinian woman on Fox just stated when she was a kid Hamas used her as a human shield.
No one can say that Hamas didn't start this.
No one can say that Hamas isn't the one that keeps fighting through the cease fires.
No one can say that Hamas isn't placing missiles in U.N. schools, thus making them a legitimate target.
No one can deny that Hamas is using kids to shield their missiles.
No one can deny that Hamas is a terrorist organization.
That is NO ONE BUT STUPID, DUMB, POS's.

Go back and read your post, no one disputes the hatred between the Palestinians and Jews. It is your hardon for the ww2 angle that is obscure. The sky is blue, water is wet, and the jews and muslims hate each other. This was true for over 1000 years before Hitler was born and will be true 1000 years after he died, it has almost zero to do with ww2 support of Nazi's.

If you sincerely believe that all Palestinians in 2014 should be held accountable for the WORDS of some Palestinian guy 70 years ago, can I assume that you also believe that all Israelis should be held responsible for the ACTIONS of the Israeli military 47 years ago, when they attacked the USS Liberty, and still to this day have not fessed up about.

If the IDF was doing a systematic search and targeting Hamas specifically no one on earth would give a shite. Sending your military into a packed city and just piling up bodies is going to give a lot of folks heartburn.

IDF can fight from the periphery all they want but I don't think it will get them anywhere. I guess we'll see but IMHO, taking the fight directly to Hamas is the only way I can see them rooting them out.

Hamas is literally dug in and fighting the war on two separate fronts. Egypt is quietly bombing the hell out of them and blowing up every tunnel they can find in conjunction with Israel. Right now its all about completely destroying the vast tunnel network that was allowed to operate from Egypt for years. Egypt has blown up over 1600 tunnels since they started cracking down on the Islamic Brotherhood and Hamas.
By the time this is over with Gaza will be a ghost town and even more isolated than it is right now.

You may be right but I don't think bombs and shelling will win this for IDF. At some point, they're going to have to actually fight a ground battle from where the enemy is located.

You may be right. General Al-Sisi is building a reputation as the most despised leader in the Arab world, and he was roundly criticized throughout the Mideast for his joke of a ceasefire proposal. Gaddafi, Saddam and Arafat may have been tyrants, but at least they weren't collaborators.
