Is this women a serious candidate for Congress?
She should be able to give some response to the hoax question, but why would the reporter even ask the Obama question? Sounds like the reporter was looking for a gotcha moment. Which I don't have a problem with. If only they did that to Democrats.
Would this have made Yahoo news if it was an embarrassing interview for a Democrat candidate?

Look, they asked a conservative a science question, of course she ran away.

The Jindal wing of Louisiana Republicans are lining up behind her and Garrett Graves, and she probably has the "Common Core is evil, impeach Obama NOW, tea party wing" of that sector behind her. The kind who think Rick Santorum, Palin or Bachmann would make top-tier Presidential candidates.

So we can agree the headline is not altogether honest? As in a base lie.
Actually she did flee the interview. She was having problems with any questions asked and they ended the interview because she was sinking fast.
quote:
"When she replied that it was a matter of some controversy, her two campaign consultants quickly whisked her out of the room, accusing me of conducting a 'Palin-style interview,'" he continued.
What the hell is a palin style interview? Asking softball questions and not being able to think enough on your feet to even handle those types of questions?
Palin totally screwed up a not very difficult interview. She was ill prepared and honestly pretty foolish. The interview both then and now were not ambush interviews. They were typical interviews in which the candidate totally flubbed the questions and totally sank.
Sorry, I don't consider the headline a lie. And why are you covering for this incompetent fool?

Wow. Do some people actually believe that still?

Only those that saw Obama get elected POTUS.

I'm not sure of the content in this case. Not sure of exactly what was asked, and what specific answers were rendered. The woman appears far from a frontrunner for nomination. Leaves one to wonder why this is being nationally disseminated.
I am fairly certain the bigoted SOB doing the writing is anything but the political neutral he claims to be.
Foundational lies are always problematic.

You're telling me Nancy Pelosi has ever been subject to an interview like that? EVER?
Barbara Boxer? EVER?

Exactly, Biden, Pelosi, Harry Reid say some of the most outrageous things and never are challenged by a reporter.
Quayle spells tomato tomatoe and you'd have thought he was Goober Pyle the way the media ran with that one.

I think we all forget sometimes that these politicians and their staffs are our damn neighbors we elect to represent us. Think about that. Do we really want our next door neighbors representing us when it comes to spending our money and making policies for us? I sure the hell don't want mine even stepping on the capitol grounds.
Kinda scary, huh?

I saw her sign on the side of the road and thought it looked odd.
I wasn't up close to it but she looked pretty good in the picture but was slightly disheveled. Plus her white shirt blended in with the white background. Just very north Baton Rouge looking in terms of production quality.
She's running against Claitor? Sounds like she is pandering more to the Livingston parish crowd.

This...
...is absolutely true. No getting around it. Problem is, when a Democrat is asked why they believe it they fluster around and say "Well, that is established science." Bottom line, if the question went the other direction you would get the same response.
Do you honestly not see the hypocrisy there? Both are not asked to provided substantive proof of their positions. Only one.

"But it’s not unreasonable to expect candidates to explain how they arrived at their positions, and when I pressed Whitney repeatedly for the source of her claim that the earth is getting colder, she froze and was unable to cite a single scientist, journal, or news source to back up her beliefs," he wrote.

I met her a while back at a function with a bunch of GOP legislators. Around the time she had just been elected. Extremely nice lady from my experience, and definitely good-looking for her age.
I just don't think, with the other available candidates, she's anywhere near the best choice to represent the district in Washington, D.C.
The tea party crowd in Louisiana seems to love her though. I guess because she does say (and truly believes) all the right things. But when you try to get down to specifics beyond the red meat stuff, like actual budgets and tax policy reform, she's not going to be much on real info.

I'd say 'yes' for about 80 mussent. If I were asked about Global Warming or Obama's citizenship I'd go into a 20 minute lecture. OTOH, If I were asked about why this skink craps outside my back door every night I'd have trouble and say "I don't know...but I'm thinking about killing the bastard."
