Its actually the only way he could have failed a test by such small margins.

Not really, he could have been letting it leave his system and that's where he was at that point.
But that is a really low level, I don't know why the players would allow such a low threshold for failure in the CBA.

Not a weed expert, but what happens if he had smoked out way before and just a small trace was in him?

They should adopt the NBAs weed policy

From ESPN

Gordon's attorneys also plan to introduce witnesses that will testify that Gordon's scores indicate he was the victim of breathing in second-hand smoke, per sources. The league has maintained that it does not intend to suspend players for second-hand smoke.

He would have failed all the previous tests before this one.

Yeah I can see it being secondhand smoke if he's being tested that much.
Yeah, he actually has a pretty damn strong case.

What if it was in between though?

If he is tested 10 times a month, that's ~ 3 times a week.
He would have tested at a much higher level.
He could do a hair test if he's that confident I suppose.

He gets tested multiple times a week. If he smoked he would have failed every test he took after smoking, and then every test after that for 10-30 days.

You would be shocked at the shite that can give you a false positive. First day at LSU they told us to stop drinking any and all energy drinks. Things will royally screw up your test results haha

So his argument is he hung around with enough people illegally smoking that it caused him to have a positive test.
Hmmm.
Hmmm.

Maybe they weren't illegally smoking? Maybe he was hanging out in Washington or Colorado, or in one of the many states where it's medically legal?
