Did I say he didn't? I am not griping, it is just strange we don't have any names on our board. You say 1 or 2 quality 4 stars, but who? Isn't that the point of this discussion?

OK so chavis knows what he is doing, and we have 8 months until signing day, discussion is over.

I am just trying to point out this is a legitimate recruiting question that is sort of being written off. This isn't some yoyo from the rant here to dog out coaches. If this was a RB regular I think he would have gotten some better responses.

thing is, that nobody knows who they are recruiting at LB

bo wallace, mcginnis and kevin henry are the 3 right now....there are quite a few in florida, texas and the carolinas so who knows how this will shake out.

But do you agree that we probably need to be recruiting some?

We have signed I think 5 LBs in the past 2 seasons, Jones is now a FB, and I think beckwith eventually moves to the line, as he is too talented to not see the field this year. It would stand to reason that we put more emphasis on the position. I know we have time, and McGinnis plus Wallace would be a decent haul, but it does seem a little strange that we don't have a few more names in the mix.

it's an odd year for linebackers....there is only 1 elite lb in our area (malik jefferson). other than that, it's florida, the midwest and cali. if the players aren't there, they aren't there.

staff may have no choice but to leave beckwith at lb, regardless of where he belongs ya know?

Yeah you may be right. It also may be time to start cross training more of our DBs, seeing as we take 6 a year.

Yeah, we just have so much talent at that position you hate to see kids walk BC they are in a log jam. Thompson would be a good candidate, and I actually think Ronald martin is a solid player who will see we time at safety, so that would make some sense.
