White is 1st/2nd team preseason all SEC this year so I think people saw something.... To be honest, I would be happy with 1st team all SEC with Hargreaves

White is a pretty damn good cover guy. But as where you say he got torched so many times, many of the times he did get beat, he lost his footing early in the play.

Rashard, I love seeing that kid play. If he gets his weight up from last year he'll be something really special.

U boy's worry too much. He will be fine. If the QB steps up we will have a banner year despite a brutal schedule.

White was our most consistent corner last year from day one. WTF were y'all watching

I'm with you. And where were all those passes that were caught on him? There were not many. This guy came in and started as a true freshman earlier than did PP. And we have some who want to downplay his abilities? I thought he had an excellent freshman year and will only get better. His freshman year was as good as PP's and Morris Claiborne's. What more do they from the guy?

However, our fan base loves dumping on one player to build up the player they support. We have two excellent soph CBs. The greatness of one is not mutually exclusive to the greatness of the other. Both are all SEC caliber players. Be happy we have both. Don't feel the need to dump on either if he receives accolades.

White is a good tackler but not a playmaker and was torched so many times last year

Because athletes never get better. He was a freshman. Do you not realize that?

White is talented and is a future TD maker on defense, but while watching all the replays last month he got beat bad, a lot. That secondary last year was pretty much turd tastic except for Loston and Robinson when he finally played. It looked better towards the end because Mills switched and Robinson started getting real play time.

Let's just say he wasn't close to Mathieu or Peterson or Mills (who was pretty good) as freshman.

Clearly, the coaches thought that RR was their best matchup with Mike Evans because of his size. But the next week, they were back to starting Mills.

fwiwi, RR and Mills both started vs. A&M. we started out in nickel and played mostly that and mustang.

White has a lot of upside. He was easily one of the standouts on our defense last year.

You stated he was torched a lot last year. I don't remember this. I remember Jalen Mills getting torched consistently; Georgia, Alabama, Ole Miss, Arkansas, to name a few. Only one for White I remember was a TD against Georgia where he thought he had safety help over the top. After the game our defensive players said they weren't getting the calls.

You can't play man to man bump and run coverage if you never put hands on the WR's. Jalen Mills and Jalen Collins did this consistently just letting the WR go by them.

Also even if he did get "torched" he was a freshman playing very veteran offensive players. Aaron Murray, AJ McCarron, etc... and still held his own very well.

Situations like this is a great time to have the ability for someone to do a video of White's plays last year to see who is correct. I don't recall all those times he claims White was torched. There are many times when there is disagreement like this that video could solve to issue.

If there was staff or posters with the ability to provide video that addresses these type issues, it would be a great, great, feature of this site. If the issue is discussed enough or has enough interest from posters, then a poster could request video to shed light on the situation.

A video of White's season would show one way or the other whether he was "torched consistently". Again a great feauture to have on this site. Film review! It would take much more footage, but sort of like the video of PP's catch/non-catch against Bama that settled the issue for most as to whether he had, in fact, intercepted the ball. The film will show every time this alleged torching of White occured. Or not.

I do understand athletes get better, you do understand that some don't as well. I like him and thought him solid. I asked a question in regards to his abilities give such enthusiasm from some. Believe me I like anyone who suits up for LSU,. I do want greatness for him. And he is a very aggressive open field tackler. But felt I was missing something others saw.
