Bill Burr is great Rod Man was pretty funny during his Tonight Show set. He did his self checkout joke and got some good laughs.

I literally said all of this to my wife as we watched tonight. I said Lachlan had the best sets and was sad to see Rod had his worst, but once they were going to break you had an idea it was going to the season long winner.
Even more of a reason it should have come down to Joe and Rod Man.

I don't dislike Rodman, but 90% of his set is him stammering and stuttering. He's as much of a clown as he is a comedian. Its a shame a quality joke writer like Lachlan or Machi couldnt.have won.

i'm with you, it's just his gimmick. and he has about three poses. rodman is pretty easy to do an impression of.
i didn't hate him though and somehow he gets by with sets that don't really have punchlines, he's just likable. like a black dane cook early on.
machi was hands down the strongest comedian on the show and it's become a badge of honor not to win.
i enjoy lachlan as well. both he and machi are strong writers.

I think it's funny in the joke countdown that Joe Machi had 3 and the other top 3 had 1.
It just shows that Joe was good at what he did.
Rodman wasn't as good down the last stretch, but he's been strong all contest long. I think they made the right choice.
I was up in the air between Lachlan and Rodman going into the finale, and thought Lachlan was going to win it from the strong sets from the finale.

Joe is a good two or three line joke writer but what got him voted off was his acts suddenly became very choppy. No flow.
