Yes, I think he's overhyped. He's a skilled player, sure, but he is very unaccomplished for the unanimous top 7 player he's considered. For all we know he's another James harden-- an offensively centric player who puts up great regular season stats, but struggles in the post season once defense intensifies and his own defense is exposed-- but love hasn't even experienced the playoffs and pressure and the scrutiny that come with it. I simply believe other players who have accomplished more deserve the credit until Love proves himself in the 2nd season

That downvote? Its from me.

3rd in the NBA in PER last year. Behind LBJ and Durant.

Can post up, shoot mid-range, shoot 3's. A top 3 rebounder. Also a great passer. If he was playing in NY, he would be as famous as Melo, D12, etc.

People said the same thing about KG too. He only had one post season where his team got out of the first round in Minny.
no they didn't. KG was a league MVP and while he had some struggles in the playoffs, at least he was getting there regularly. The biggest question everyone had with KG was why he was so loyal to Minny...

dont bring this bullshite in here. He signed a max extension with the wolves, so don't act like he's some captive POW.

Ah yes, another brilliant moment in the book of futility by David KKAAAAAAAHHHHHHNNNN.

Refusing to offer Love 5 years

But the Wolves, sources said, refused all month to budge on their offer and give Love a fifth year

He's not even the best power forward in the NBA but get this
quote:

James harden
nonsense out of here. Kevin Love actually rebounds, you know. He may not be an elite rim protector but he also doesn't get in foul trouble like a number of big men do.

Well, ESPN does want a Cleveland Heat index, so you may have a point

As I said before, let's see how your opinion of Anthony Davis changes if the Pelicans miss out on the playoffs for a couple more years. Or will it?

I think he's somewhat overrated due to this, but he's still really, really good.

Also, why would Cleveland be in such a rush to trade for him when they can simply sign him next season?
Because there's also a chance they can't sign him next season.

obviously they play different positions. The comparison is more of a regular season vs playoffs when it comes to stats and efficiency. And love's rebounding is countered by harden's ball handling and play making off the dribble

yes, he's poor at this, but it's not his game, either
quote:

you could make the argument he's not giving enough effort defensively as he's a poor on ball defender, too.

Wiggins won't be a starter and isn't even the best SG or SF on his team. Wiggins will be coming off the bench behind Waiters and LeBron.

The main question is if you would rather have Love playing 35+ MPG or have Wiggins and Anthony Bennett each playing 25+ MPG.

He's very very good.

Minny has seemed to be every writer's sexy playoff pick for the last 2 or 3 years, though. Then when they miss out, its because his teammates suck.

And his total unwillingness to play defense is a major problem that can't be overlooked. The guy gives no shits on that end of the court and often times will leave guys wide open to go pad his rebound numbers.

He could have his own Harden-style youtube video of awful defense.

I'm not saying you don't trade Wiggins for Love, but Waiters aint keeping Wiggins on the bench.

not sure how you can say this either way at this point.

Wiggins looked very *blendy* in his summer league games...and his defense was even questionable

I think his teammates just blow. Minnesota won 40 games in a brutal Western conference.

Is Anthony Davis overrated, since his teams have blown arse so far?

I think both Davis and Love are the best power forwards in the game (obviously) and appropriately at somewhere around the top five to eight players in the game or so.

I feel really comfortable saying Dion Waiters won't keep Andrew Wiggins on the bench. I think everyone except Dion Waiters knows that.
