If I was a Chiefs fan, I'd rather release him than pay that. No NFL RB, including Adrian Peterson, is worth that in today's NFL.

Wow.

Jamaal Charles was like 35% of the Chiefs entire offense. Not only did he lead them in rushing, but he led them in receptions and TDs as well.

There arent that many RBs in the NFL that deserve this kind of $$$$, but Jamaal Charles is absolutely 1 of the few that deserve it.

Most RBs in today's game can be easily replaced, Charles is one of the few that cannot.

kige

this one is a fair deal for both sides. the chiefs only have him for two years but charles gets value for the production he brings to the table that other running backs would not be able to replicate.

the traditional thing for charles to do is finish this contract and then go to the phoenix cardinals on the emmit smith farewell tour.

Agreed. Peterson and Charles are absolutely worth this money. What Peterson has done without a passing game is remarkable.

still, if i were the vikings i would be about ready to trade him if i could get value back. he's still close to his peak but the descent of a RB from that peak is brutal

some poorly run organization like the jaguars would probably give a couple high picks for him
