Wasn't meant for you specifically. Just the part about scheduling.

Just get married at the courthouse during the week, and save the reception for the Spring.

I get what you're saying, but Football season > March Madness.

I do enjoy watching basketball, but football lasts for such short time and nothing beats tailgating all day for a good SEC matchup.

Making me miss this sacred ritual for a wedding will definitely make you an antagonist in my eyes.

Glad to see so many people in here agree with me. I was in a thread not too long ago where 90 percent of the tards in there were perfectly Ok with a fall wedding. Check out my comment in this thread that kicked it all off. LINK

Who really cares if it's scheduled on one of LSU's 3 Division 2 opponents every year.

My wife just knows, dont ask. If I feel like attending, I will let her know. She has a cousin getting married the day of this years Bama game. She looked at the save the date, looked at me and laughed. She just knows better. It isnt a prouction or a problem.

A lot of dumbasses post here. I wouldn't use this place as a ringing endorsement for anything.

This is actually true. I dont give a shite what a bunch of people on the internet think. I dont go to weddings in the fall, just dont do it and I dont need any other validation from anyone other than my wife.

scheduling a wedding on a major LSU game day (home or away) is a selfish and narcissistic move in my opinion.

If your fiancé was like mine it's October 3rd. LSU is scheduled to play Eastern Michigan. We were trying to do April, but that ended up not working out.

Weddings get scheduled before the football schedule is made. How many times do I need to say it?

Even if they got scheduled the day after the schedule came out, who gives a shite. My wedding likely had 300 people at it and I dont specifically recall anyone who was/wasnt there. Trust me, if you dont go to someones wedding they probably wont know.

I wait all fricking year for football season. Sure, I watch baseball, basketball, etc. but I watch them very casually. I look at other sports as a way to pass the time until footballs season starts.

To try and get me to miss an event that I've been waiting months for is very frustrating. It may sound inconsiderate of me, but that's just how I feel on the matter.

That's how your post read to me.

ETA: No one is forcing you to go, so why make a fuss over it?
