Vols&shaft has been advocating for this for a while. His idea was to grind up poor people to feed other poor people.
Just think if you took bums and druggies that were almost dead and fed them to lazy sacks that don't want to get off the government tit you could solve two problems at once.

I was just reading about R v Dudley and Stephens, a case where shipwrecked sailors starving to death voted to kill and eat one of the survivors (Richard Parker) in order for the rest of them to live, were still found guilty of murder. In other words, British common law established that a murder of necessity was not legal, an interesting moral dilemma LINK

I know people won't go for eating normal society members right off the bat, so we start with fetuses and the dead. Then ease into the "kobe beef" of humans aka career ending injury athletes, and eventually human farms and cloning
