Will be nice to have a young person on staff who has the energy to go full throttle in recruiting. I hope the addition pays huge dividends in the future. Solid investment if all works out in the end.

LSU could very realistically have Shea Patterson and Feliepe Franks at Quarterback for 2016 and these guys to throw to.

1. Stephen Sullivan
2. Clyde Leflore
3. Drake Davis
4. Mykel Jones

Uhhhh.... Harris, Quinn and Dupre say hi

semantics

What's not semantics is that he is very well connected to the 7on7 scene in LA, which is huge for many prospects besides Shea. Of course Shea has something to do with it, but red is correct that this move isn't purely about landing little bro.

Sean Jr interviewed for this paid intern job over 6 months ago, long before Les fell in love with Shea, which only happened a couple weeks ago in Stillwater.
Sean Jr is the reason Shea is where he's at, unflappable, athletic and football smart, make no mistake.

Shrewd move by #LSU's Les Miles to hire Sean Patterson as graduate assistant away from Arizona where his brother Shea has been committed.

As someone very particular about word usage, I don't have a problem with it. It's a smart, calculated move. I don't see an negative connotations to it.

Feel like it can be meant in two different ways regarding the hire.

Just the way I see it.

Considering the OP is Jimmy, and he is close to this situation, I would have to give it some credence

People may read into it more than is there, I agree. As I said, it's a smart, calculated move. Some people may assign motive to it saying it's a smart, calculated move because it essentially locks up Shea for us.

But apparently (I don't know much about the guy, so I can't say for sure) he's a rising star of a coach. So it's smart regardless of Shea.

This is how I interpret the hire.

LSU stacked
Nation fricked

I won't be shocked if Shea commits this weekend. Everything is just falling into place. Would be kick arse if all the bootlegger boys joined at once
