How about the fact that Obamacare is the whole reason that bosses now can choose what they cover. Without Obamacare, that case never would have been held in the first place

Huh?

Employers weren't mandated to cover specific items before the ACA came around. That is why you never saw lawsuits like this.
Basically what everyone else has said, but worded differently.

That makes no sense. Bosses chose what to cover and not to cover long before the ACA. Now, with the ACA, that decision is taken away from them in certain instances.

Why can't someone find another job if they don't like the insurance offered? Does this really require government interference?

this whole argument has a premise that all companies should provide health care for their employees and that this is the only way that people can get it.
If you accept that premise the argument makes perfect sense.
But it is an easy premise to refute, why does a company have to provide health insurance for their employees? Let's say your employer offers you a health care plan you don't like, Is it that hard to refuse that coverage and go get your own? What if you work for a company that will offer to pay for your health insurance if you choose? The dems seem to be setting up a false either or situation, either your employer pays for your health insurance or you have no health insurance and can't pay for things like birth control blood transfusions etc.

Couldn't you also say, thanks for the health care benefits but I'm going to pay for my own health care. Is that so hard?

Employers shouldn't be in the business of health insurance.
It started off as a benefit to attract highly qualified workers and at some point became a right of being an employee.
Employers should be paying employees high enough salaries that allow them to get their own insurance instead of the current fricked up system.

I am in agreemant with most people in this thread about the SCOTUS ruling, but I hate this specific argument.

They need to thank their legislators that passed the religious freedom restoration act.

That is a 2 way street. Employees should provide a quality of work that allows them to be paid enough to provide their own health insurance.
It's not a right to be employed and it's sure as hell not a right to be paid above and beyond what the market will allow, for the job you preform.
