But as to your point, I don't think they need the media to remind them, they just need to listen to Rs in office, Rs running for office, or read state and national R platforms. Demographics and failure to recognize changing attitudes hurt the Rs.
The current GOP and its media talking heads are so out of touching with ppl my age (24) that its not even funny. Most of the ppl my age are more concerned with the gov snooping (even though our every thought is broadcast to the world via twatter, facebook, accidently uploaded sex tapes, etc). Most of us support same sex marriage or just don't give a flying freak, we can see how much of a disaster the war on drugs was. With that being said if Hiliary only gets around 53% of the young vote then she has no shot.

Yep.

She may not if she gets only 54%, but this wasn't a head to head. So you have to think in a head to head she'd get the % from the other Ds in this poll. Heck any D in a head to head is going to get more than the R.

The GOP needs visionary leaders to get this country going back in the right direction.

In the 1980s, there was Reagan.

In the 1990s, there was Gingrich.

In the 2000s, GWB burned up the goodwill toward the GOP that was planted by Reagan & Gingrich.

In the 2010s, obama had a great oppoturnity to help heal the racial divide of this country but he has failed miserably. He will go down as one of the worst president in the histore' of our great nation.

Rand Paul is NOT the man ro lead this country in a post-obama contry. I like some of his ideas and I like the fact that he is reaching out to minorities.

I don't really see anyone on the horizon that can lead this country back to greatness.

Ted Cruz show flashes of brillance and could be that person.

This country is going to face some HUGE, and I mean huge challenges in the next 10-15 years.

Millenials have been adults for, at most, fifteen years. During that time period, how many Republican presidents have shown themselves to be fiscally conservative? During that same time period, how many Democratic presidents have shown themselves to be socially liberal?

So, if Millenials are on average fiscally conservative and socially liberal, are they really choosing social issues over fiscal issues, or are they simply picking social issues because it's where they can get results?

And I ask this with no horse in the Republican/Democrat race. I voted for Gary Johnson.

Yep. It is "socio-tropic" voting. Self-interest isn't so important as the perception of how the country is doing as a whole. If things are going well, people won't change. If things aren't going well, people will want a change.

Obviously, these generalizations apply to people who are not committed partisans (in other words, people who might possible change their minds).

That's a good question.I'm not a millennial so I'd love to hear an answer. My personal opinion is that the fiscal issues are often tied to the social issues.

I don't think you'll disagree with me when I say that Rand Paul would bring in a ton of under-29 Obama voters.

Why does this even matter when there is no way he will win the Republican nomination?
