Cool.

I've seen Phil Lesh and Friends. That was good. Also saw Ratdog, which was pretty bad. Never made it to a Furthur show.

I really enjoyed Dead Feat (Bill K, Anders Osborne, Paul Barrere, etc) over Jazz Fest. Probably my favorite Dead-related thing I have seen, right up there with Bobby sitting in with Gov't Mule at Roo 07. I considered flying out to San Rafael,CA on Aug 24th for Anders playing with Phil at Terrapin but have too much other stuff going on.

Comparing them is stupid because they don't try to do the same things
I agree in a sense of comparing their music styles. You really can't because they are all different. But you can absolutely compare their magnitude and influence.

I really don't think any band in the scene can compare to what the Grateful Dead was and will always be.

Phil's band is great. The tour he did with ABB 4-5 years ago was great. Ratdog is weak. Too much shmegma. Seeing Mule this Tuesday. Furthur has really upped their game since Kadlecik joined.

Those worlds will indeed collide in two weeks when Bill K and Mickey Hart sit in with Bisco at Gathering of the Vibez

No. Hunter is just about the definition of a songwriter.

Do not try to understand the untz. That's impossible. Instead, try to realize the truth. There is no untz. It is only yourself.

That is the question indeed. Hopefully won't need to be answered for a long time.

The Biscuits already have the torch braeuh

And as long as Brownstein needs income for his unquenchable thirst for drugs and flatbrim hats they will never stop touring

Bisco hasn't regularly toured in quite some time

The last time I saw Bisco was in like, 2008 at Mcalister Auditorium at Tulane. There were teenage flatbrim kids taking orders for nitrous and drugs that they would bring to you at your seat. It was one of the bigger free for alls I've ever seen and it was on Tulane's campus.

Yep. Saw them the next night at Tip's. Had some great boomers and the show didn't end until 7:45 am. That was their last appearance in NOLA.
