I missed his scrimmage this spring with Ruston, and when I asked the players about the scrimmage I remember most noting a big back from Calvary, got any info there?

Shea is the best of the bunch, but yes, there are a couple good QB's but IMO Shea is the only elite one.

Not to be a smarty but why is it big news we offer a 5 star QB from the State?
Isn't that just common sense?
Wouldn't it be bigger news if we didn't offer a 5 Star in state QB?

That's why I said it was expected

it's big news bc he's committed elsewhere currently and franks' baseball talent could leave us stranded again.
I am glad we are offering now, the summer before his junior year than later.

It is news because everyone felt we are missing out on him because we have not offered yet. Now that we have officially offered we can now feel like we have a real chance here.

There will be a lot of recruits who will want to play with Shea as well...it would be huge if we got him on board.

Sources close to me say he's flipping within the next 2 or 3 months.
Seen this kid play last year looks very good, hope we can get him to commit. If he doesn't though I can fully understand why, Harris is probably going to start this year and for the next 2 or 3 years after. Who knows, wish him well no matter what he chooses to do.
Seems LSU waits to offer in person sometimes (at their place or ours) which can be a special thing, but this one was expected/needed.

I heard the same last week when I was told he would get his offer when he went down today. He wasn't supposed to be in BR until next weekend, but Cam called him and asked him to come this weekend. Apparently LM has just recently been sold on the fact that Shea is an LSU level player/person.

What I like is that he considers himself a dual threat QB. A pass first, but a guy who can make plays with his feet when there is nobody open.
Seems to be the guy that Cam is looking for.
Harris, McMillan, Franks, Patterson all fit into this category. They aren't just athletes playing QB.

Shea Patterson is a spitting image of Oklahoma's Trevor Knight.

I hope who I talked to really knew what he was talking about. He lives up here in Shreveport and has been very close to the Calvary program since his son played there in 2008 - 2012. Saying Patterson is considering the flip to LSU. I am not saying it's going to happen, but if I were a bettin man I'd put some $$ on it. Either way I wish the kid the very best In his career.

I was told the same and some more that I'll keep to myself in case he changes his mind. But, from what I was told, Shea loves LSU and Cam. Hope he's a Tiger come 2016, he's got a lot of potential.

I didn't want to say anything just in case he doesn't flip bc then all these awesome posters on here will remind me of how I was wrong
but when I heard he was offered (like he was supposed to be) I couldn't keep quiet

Calvary's top players are Shea Patterson, Shun Brown, Orlando Bradford, and Greedy Williams. From what I hear, Shun Brown's brother is even better than him.
