which one of you all did this on bluemoon?

quote:

Hey Guys!

I am a graduate from Mississippi State University (in 2007) in the United States and a regular poster on one of our sports boards. In the Southeastern U.S., American football at the college level has always reigned supreme. However, a ton of us got swept up in World Cup fever, and didn't want it to end after it was over, so 40 of us got together, divided into pairs, and drew EPL teams to be fans of. Myself and another guy drew Manchester City, so I fully intend to be the biggest possible fan that I can be from thousands of miles away. I already have it set up so that I can watch all of the weekend games this Fall, and if I really get into it, I'll purchase a kit and try my best to create a mini Man City fanbase in my corner of the world.

What I ask from you all: Can you fill me in on the need to know knowledge if I want to become a good long distance fan? This includes things like:

1. Best players on the team
2. Who are your bitter rivals?
3. What is your play style?
4. What is your best known chant/song? (I want this for my signature on the forum I originate from)
5. Expected success level for the season? I know "we" are current league champions, and I actually watched many games last year (for fantasy football reasons), but did not have a specific team to cheer for. I do now!
6. Any other cool stuff a fan ought to know.

I could look up a bunch of this information from websites, but that would be boring, so I want to hear this kind of stuff from real fans.

Any knowledge is appreciated!

Cheers.

City journalist Mark Booth put through GK drills...

CITYtv continues to be the model for videos for all other Football teams. In this video, we get a slight look into what goes into training to be a Keeper.

Mark Booth, a great follow on Twitter, goes through the ropes for the second year, giving us an inside view of what it takes to be a Keeper

I'm glad

Seriously though, I like Barry...but he pisses me off quite often. IDK how to explain it.

Potential Work Permit Issues (Iheanacho)

I'm not too familiar with the work permit process in the UK, but do these cases tend to get resolved satisfactorily?

not unless you're ManU.

he'll be going out on loan a lot over these next 2-4 years unless he starts getting international caps soon.

He's only 17 . . . can't James Milner adopt him.

if patrick viera was truly committed to the vision, i think he'd be adopting him in a heartbeat.

Screenshot taken from a video that was temporarily on City's website. Supposedly, it's from Mangala's medical. Hopefully, it's all finalized and announced soon.

I watched the whole video earlier. He definitely wants to join. Sounds like the deal hasn't been finalized however. The video was one of CityTV's week in review videos, so it may come out otmorrow. Also, they may not have wanted to overshadow Fat Frank's unveiling

I've heard Mangala, City and Porto have all agreed, but he's got a 3rd party ownership issue they have to work out.

New Away kit official
I like it a lot, but question how useful a Navy Blue away kit is.
They can't wear it against the other teams in the PL that wear blue.

The Yellow on Navy is supposed to honor the Blue and Yellow stripes they wore in the final at Wembly in 99 - not really buying that.

How much is Jovetic expected to play to start the season? Will he sit once Aguero is fully fit? Do you all expect City to put out a partnership of Dzeko and Aguero or is Jovetic now an attacking wing player?

Wondering if I should nab Jovetic for fantasy, he's been playing quite a bit in the preseason and looked pretty solid.
