I'm not so much mad but it just feels like an unnecessary shot. Yes New York is a better city than Memphis. That doesn't really need to be stated. He did take it a little far with the "stone age" comment.

It's like getting a job coaching from high school to the NBA, phrases like "The players are more talented" would be ridiculous, of fricking course they are. Going farther stating that "At least here the players know how to shoot." would be a little unnecessary.

Not really. Germantown homes are very affordable.

Germantown was recognized a couple years back as the safest city in Tennessee

But then you have to live in Germantown.

Well that is true. I kind of regret not taking the job there. I had a great time out there. Downtown seems to be dying business wise though

Memphis is the Stone Age if thugs shooting each other with semi automatic pistols is something that happened a lot thousands of years ago.

Memphis does suck, but New York is going to return to 70s and 80s decline. Wait until Lionel sees how much they take out of his check and the purchasing power of the dollar in NY

Let's see Mayor Bloomberg try to take away Memphis residents' guns and 32 oz big gulps.

I prefer Tennessee to NY no question. I prefer Memphis to NYC

I love how everyone sees New York as an affirmation of liberalism...It was a shithole, until Rudy turned it around and did so quickly

Deblassio and state politicians will return it to its natural state of being.

Ehh the city itself is doing very well and is usually near the top of any list you will see when discussing locations for a startup.

The Bass Pro development along the river should be interesting to watch over the next couple of years. That whole area is supposed to look drastically different.

I am fleeing what is fixing to become the 2nd Detroit. Property taxes are through the roof, City can't afford the pension so they just fricked over every current and retired city employee. Cops and Fireman are starting to leave, and not being replaced. The suburb's just started their own school districts, so the city is losing that tax revenue on high priced houses that they were using to fund their school district. Live here and watch the politics play out and its obvious what is coming.

Crime is another increasing problem. The thing is a few years back the city changed how it reports certain crimes so it looks like it's not as bad as it really is.

Not a chance. New York is the cultural mecca of the United States and has become a relatively safe and ever-fascinating place to live and visit. The outcry from New York residents and even folks from other parts of the country if the city began to regress would force leadership to nip the problems in the bud.
