All of our core players are young and are still improving. I agree that Reke has the chance to become more than a B player. I honestly think he is the key to the Pels making a big jump. Also I think Chemistry is something most people overlook. Give a team this talented a couple of years together and i think this core is definitely capable of competing for a championship.

We have a star arguably better than 4 of the guys you listed. And he's 21. And we have him for, what, 7 more years before he can leave.

i guess everything else I said just went completely over your melon.

-- AD isnt even in the same ballpark parking lot in terms of comparing "superstar" status with any of those players i named.

Yes I realize AD's youth. I recognize his skill.

Youre not realizing that today AD isnt the rockstar superstar fame player yet that any of those names I mentioned are. Youre also not paying attention that we have no greg popovich as a head coach, and that it's probably gonna be tough to keep AD here in 2018 (if he reaches his potential on the court) when the big markets come a'callin.

Who cares if rando bandwagoners all over the country are wearing his jersey or if they are wearing those 5 guys jerseys. HE'S BETTER (than all but KD and LeBron). I'll take skill over fame.

AD had a dominant month last year that gave us a glimpse of him being a top 3 player. He still needs to make the jump to doing that on a nightly basis. You can't say he's a superstar until he makes that jump and gains the consistency, but you also can't deny that it's a likely occurrence. He just does things that no other human is capable of doing. The only thing that can hold him back is injury, and he has shown a tendency to get minor injuries regularly, which is part of why they targeted Asik.

Im trying... all I see is you claiming the Pels will never attract a "top 5" FA, when realistically they dont have to... they have one on the roster already

KD built his fame in OKC, why cant AD do that here?

You're missing the point.

He just wants everyone to say the Pelicans suck.

right, and did you read Fearthehat0307's post fantasizing about a superstar free agent coming here to play with the superstar rockstar that we all pray AD becomes in a couple years before knee jerking on a snip of one of my posts? It's the 2nd post in this thread.

Why the frick would I do that?

No, seriously Fear is spot on. He's throwing around "superstars" like there a ton of them but I agree with his premise. We have a superstar who we are showing we are willing to build around, not dick around and wait for draft picks year after year. If you can't get excited about this roster, I can't help you.

you say this as if its impossible

those big market teams dominated the FA market this summer...Im sure the Laker fans are ecstatic about the Jordan Hill signing

Players sign where they think they can win... If the Pels are producing wins and playoff berths, along with having a top 3 NBA guy, players will come

The talent on hand is good enough to get into the playoffs. You can question what Demps gave up to get here, but this team has the ingredients to be very good. It's all about health and finding the right alchemy.
