Doesn't matter, as that was last year.

Besides, there is a neutral site game on the agenda, so it stands to reason that they would go there. There is no national appeal to going to USA v MSU.

I don't think we are. There is a 0 percent chance gameday is at this game.

I have contacts at the Battle House Renaissance and before each season, They are contacted by ESPN to reserve a small number of rooms for ESPN staff on weeks they will potentially be in town. Week 3 is the only week that would make somewhat sense for Gameday to be in Mobile

Just because ESPN requests rooms for their people to cover those games, doesn't mean they are bringing the game day crew

You are an idiot if you think a week three game between a lower tier SEC school and a 4 year old, average Sun Belt program is even in the list of top five locales for GameDay.

A small number of rooms implies that they will have a crew there to call the game, but not Gameday.

I don't think you realize how huge Gameday is...

As the game gets closer, the reserve more. You can't reserve that many rooms this early for an unsure thing.

I don't think you understand how the hospitality industry works

I think ESPN would go to a High School game before going to South Alabama

Yet they go to North Dakota State instead of #5 Standford vs #23 ASU or #6 LSU vs Auburn. Hell even ND vs MSU or UF vs UT would've been better

They have. But that was before USA was a team. There have been several HS games on ESPN from Mobile

Typically Game Day goes to larger games early in the season to build hype for the show. They don't do secondary games till later in the year, like NDSU this past year.

ESPN had a common interest by going to North Dakota, they own the TV rights to show the DII playoffs. It benefits them in the long run (even if only marginally) to get more exposure for a big D2 team

USA and Miss State don't have that

ND St is one of the top FCS programs in the country. They would doom smash most Sun Belt teams, including South. But ESPN usually goes to one "unconventional" site per year. Sorry man, but Mobile, AL for USA and State isn't anywhere close to a big enough draw for that. No one is interested
