Anthony Bourdain, who's spent the past 15 years eating around the world, says the answer is Tokyo and it's not close.

Portland will not top anybody's list, but if you want to eat at restaurants that use sustainable food sources and want to know the name and life history of the chicken you are about to eat, then Portland is the place to be.
Portland may make some people's top ten list, but won't be at the top. I'm ok with that...
Salmon fish and chips are awesome, as long as the salmon isn't overcooked.

If we're talking variety and quality of variety on average it's gotta be NYC.

Check out Las Vegas. Most all of the great chefs from around the world have a restaurant there.

I was going to throw in Vancouver. I haven't been in a while but it seemed very similar to Seattle

Where else can you get a big plate of eel livers and seaweed? Or pig heart and pig tongue grilled rare?

Paris
NYC
San Francisco
Las Vegas
Those 5 are the ones that stick out to me.
