A veteran NFL reporter -– who has worked in television and asked for anonymity -– offered another reason. “She’s not blonde, nor is she in the demographic,” said the reporter. “I’m not naïve and I understand it’s a business, but I think that Fox did not treat her as befits a woman who has been the female face of their sports operation for the past 19 years.”

I wonder if EA will have her name on the back of her shirt like she has in those commercials she does.

EA deserved it after coaxing that great interview out of Richard Sherman last year

Pam Oliver looks like Wee Bey's babby momma from The Wire.

It doesn't really matter to me since it looks like Oliver got a long term contract out of the deal but, if this is her final season on the sidelines, it is dicked up to a minor degree to move her to the #2 crew.

It is kind of a slap in the face and I don't see what FOX gets out of the deal since there will not be one single added viewer due to the switch. In fairness, they won't lose a single one either.

Pretty sure it's because Pam Oliver is old, not because she's black.

I just want to know if Jemele Hill and Jason Whitlock have fricked each other while watching black-on-black porn yet.

I like Pam and think her longevity gave her some credibility that I don't think Andrews will bring to the sidelines.

Erin Andrews

I'm not against Andrews. She's fine.

But, by the way, neither of them is the worst. Worst, by far, not close, is

Tony Siragusa

Guy needs to go. I feel terrible when I see him sweating like a whore in church on the sidelines (especially when the game's in a dome!).

Just want to chime in to state a couple of things

1. Erin Andrews is vastly overrated and her looks are what's pushing her up the ladder at this point. Her interview questions are juvenile and she's awkward at best when conducting 1-on-1 sessions. #sorrynotsorry.

2. Pam Oliver deserved better after 20 years of service. However, with that being said, there's been too many advances in the world of cosmetic surgery for her not have put more effort into her looks. It sounds sexist, but women aren't allowed to age gracefully in the entertainment industry. Youth and beauty are the standards. I never would have guessed she was 53 but had she choosen to play the game that way she likely would have lasted longer because her work is top notch. Again, #sorrynotsorry

3. Tracy Wolfson is the best sideline reporter in college or pro football and I'm disappointed she's leaving for the NFL

4. Erin better watch her back because Sam Steele-Ponder is coming for her. She has the looks AND talent

But you can't hire her to cover the NFL.

Why not? Certainly not because of Christian Ponder

Also, I'm not saying Steele is an immediate threat but that I think we'll see her role steadily expand over the next 2-3 years

Absolutely because of Christian.

He'll probably be out of the league by then so she has that going for her.
