Seems like Marlo(I'm gonna go ahead and call him that for the rest of his life) didn't know what he was dealing with. Other guy who gave him the money, sure why not.

I don't know the specifics behind gus being with the ninja's. But there are obviously going to be a couple if not more factions of vampire hunters. They won't cover it, but there is a story to the ninja's.

It was a pretty weak appearance, though I'm not sure he's out of the picture completely. It felt like a small reintroduction with more to come. I hope so anyway.

I'm sure this is the case. Just like with Jim and Gus, they were given lots of money and other benefits to do a job (I'm assuming "Marlo" was doing it for Eichorst like the others) and are not privy to many of the details. Just do a job for $$$$
