Arsenal fans won't agree, but even with the offside goal, they should feel incredibly lucky with that result. They stoked the game up when they couldn't handle our breaks, and wilshere should have been sent off.

Distin was poor. He was at fault for both goals. Too bad that his backup is Alcaraz.

It's just our luck that the 2 most out of form players for Arsenal saved the game for them.

Everton gave us the game. The offside goal was ridiculous though. Other than that Everton were extremely wasteful in the final third.

What? Hell yeah I agree. We were fortunate to get a point! We were outplayed for the majority of the game until the last 15 or so.

Sucks for Everton; they played well enough to win on most days.

Giroud was gash in Turkey, but Cazorla has been surprisingly good so far. Didn't even think he'd get much of a shot in the squad before the season started to be honest.

This game was absolutely devastating though. We were lulled to sleep and Arsenal pounced. That's what strong sides do. Definitely should have got the 3 points though.

No he hasn't. No where close to his 2012 form. He's only looked good in our two wembley games.

The Executioner's Bong has a good write up about the first two games

I watched him in both of those and watched him in one other. Looked decent enough.

Before our game, he only looked up to par in the Community Shield. Hell, go look at the Arsenal thread. After Besiktas midweek, some were saying they would be better off just selling him to Atleti now.

The biggest problem for us in these first two games is that an aerial, physical threat up top has killed us, specifically Distin. Ulloa and Giroud handled him easily, and that worries me because I've always been confident with Distin in the air. I have zero faith in Alcaraz, but if he is called upon, I hope he proves me and others wrong.

No comments on the Eto'o signing (pending medical)?

It's interesting. I'd rather have had welbeck, but if he can get 9 in 21 like he did for Chelsea, I'm good with that.

I would prefer Welbeck as well.

Welbeck is boss. Need another quality striker too if we're going to compete for 50+ matches this season.

I'm not sure who I prefer as I think Welbeck is still of unknown quality, but it looks like Eto'o is done and the Echo is saying no more players in, Eto'o is it.

Well, we were 1 coefficient spot away from being in Pot 2. Oh well. Worst case scenario for me would be getting sevilla or napoli and wolfsburg or monchengladbach.

Also, lol at Hull not getting to the group stage.

I'm praying we draw a shite team like Celtic or Rijeka. Both would be nice.
