i thought about it but am saving my vacation days. i wore my arsenal kit to lunch on saturday and the waiter at the mexican restaurant i was at started talking to me about arsenal and said he was going down for the match.

I am most definitely NOT an Arsenal fan. It's even more depressing: I'm a Leeds fan. So really, all I have left is free floating hate towards everyone. But in a match like this, I cheer for the underdog.
Real was a billion times better, but they pulled four players at the half, Roma pulled none, and Totti decided to put forth marginal effort for five minutes, giving Roma a goal. Before then, I'm not even sure they had a shot. They rarely made it near the attacking third in the first half.
I had field level seats, giving me a great view for when everyone decided to start charging the field. I joked with the cop that he should shoot one pitch invader, and the rest would fall into line. He declined. Fun game, and you really appreciate the talent level and ball skills when you're that close. Even routine plays look awesome.

I think Benzema signed a three year deal with high wages (saw it in the transfer thread I think).
Guess this could end the dream of Falcao or they could go with the current transfer policy of why not both?

Keylor Navas will be official on the 4th of August.

Hey Dandy, one of my good friends is in Spain right now. Do you have any must see places or things to do?

He is Granada at the moment. I think he plans to go Madrid and Barcelona (he has a friend in Madrid).
Based on his current location, I suggested he should go to Seville. Any advice is helpful. He obviously loves it in Spain and everything about the culture and the people.
I need help deciding on what deciding RM stuff to get. I am thinking at least a T-shirt. Maybe get something with Modric's name on it or Di Maria, Bale, Benzema, Kroos, James, Carvajal, etc.

All destinations you mention sound find to me. If he is in Madrid, and has time, he should see Segovia (it´s not too far away, and is a beautiful city famous for the Roman aqueduct and a castle/armory which looks like the famous Walt Disney castle (or the Disney castle looks like this, whatever).

seville is fricking awesome and some cheap places to stay too. i stayed here. i'm not a fan of hostels, but that was a very nice hotel. biggest room i had out of any hotel i stayed at in europe, free breakfast, great location. the alcazar is fantastic, the sevilla cathedral/giralda tower is magnificent, and the plaza de espana is beautiful. cheap tapas (el rinconcillo was my personal favorite), cheap wine/tinto de verano, cheap super freezing cruzcampo . loved seville.

He is in college and will be pretty much on his own for the second half of the trip, so I would guess a hostel may be an option.
Yeah, my parents said their favorite city is Seville. I definitely have to make there some day. My top city is Kyoto.
