I think giroud was shite, but Jesus had a bad game. He had some terrible touches as well and looked sluggish at times. Im just chalking up to a shite field because besitkas had difficulty passing at times as well. But the back four was pretty solid minus the slip and debuch cought up a few times, but still impressed. But that's it, skating on thin ice there. I have no confidence to be able to plug in a bellerin or flamini to get us through an entire season.

Well after a rough day, I think it's time I finally post my pictures from when I visited in May. I unfortunately arrived too late to catch an Arsenal game but I did catch England/Peru in Wembley which was a great experience. My goal is to make it to a game in the Spring of 2016, already saving up for it.

The tour was pretty great, although we weren't allowed to go into the locker room because of it being rented out. For 3 weeks after the season you can pay £5,000 (if I remember the fee correctly) to rent out the pitch and the locker room. When we were there Barclays was renting it out, not a bad employee retreat if you ask me. Seeing the Peruvian player get drilled with the paper airplane may have been the highlight of the trip.

Gunnersaurus is just as awkward in person as you would imagine, can't leave that part out.

It was a great trip but the Arsenal end felt very lacking without getting to see them play live. Can't wait to catch a league game at the Emirates. I also missed the FA Cup trophy by a day as it was doing a tour in the Middle East.

Yeah. That's what I don't get. He's been decent for Arsenal, not great by any means. However, he doesn't deserve the amount of hate I saw today. It was a TERRIBLE game, but he hasn't been terrible for Arsenal. He wasn't a world class signing when y'all bought him. It's a little unrealistic to be angry he isn't producing consistent world class performances IMO.

and i just want to go to london overall and get back to europe in general. But that is a main reason, so glad arsene signed an extension, need to make it before he retires.

Do doubt.

Jack you are correct. But, today's performance was just terrible. By far his worst.

I've been a pretty staunch Giroud defender. I'm just sick of the whole thing with him. The theatrics, the constant bitching, the blaming other players when it's clearly his fault...it'd be worth if it he was playing at an elite level, but I don't think a team can win a PL title with him as the key to the attack. He's very good back to goal, and with time on his left foot he can be deadly, but he doesn't score a ton with his head, he couldn't be any slower, and he may as well not have a right foot.

We need to upgrade at CF, ASAP. If it's playing Sanchez more through the center, that's one option, and maybe Theo can work there, too, but Giroud isn't good enough. He'd be a great backup, but he's just a servicable starter who can have great games but won't ever scare anyone.

I was harsh on Santi out of frustration. I don't want him to go anywhere, and he will find his form again. He's probably the odd man out when Theo gets healthy, but he'll play a ton on the left and through the center.

And enough 4-3-3. When the five players attacking all want the ball at feet, it doesn't work. Sanchez will make runs, but he'd prefer the ball.

Yeah that formation isn't working for us.

Santi was bad and we had 0 production through that left side.

Our defense looked more exposed than it should have, and those two really scary moments where Ba and then that other dude had 1v1s with Sczez were due to Debuchy being way up the pitch and no one dropping back to cover for him.

Also, we had 2 marvelous 1v1s with their keeper at the beginning of the second half and had 0 shots to show for it. That's unacceptable. Shoot the damn ball!

Hell yea!

But I'm biased because he was one of my favorite players when he was in London.

If he learns to play defense sure. He could be a fantastic DLP if he learned positional discipline.

no we don't. can't see it happen other than if we're utterly desperate and grasping for straws on 8/31.

i liked Song when he was here, but he has digressed the last two years and isn't a good fit for us at DM. if it cost us nothing and we whiffed on our other targets, it wouldn't really bother me.
