Well, damn. I knew that, too. Didn't they called them crickets or something?

What is this? (I have found quite a few of these while metal detecting on family's land...)
Burnside carbine cartridge. He was a better firearms inventor than general.

A little OT, my family has a lot of land along the Savannah River. It is really rich in history - we have found Civil War stuff, Revolutionary War stuff, War of 1812 stuff, and not to mention a ton of colonial stuff, too. I found a Light Dragoons pewter belt buckle from the War of 1812 (supposedly only one of two known in existence). Will post a pic tonight...

Darth, here is the buckle - I found it in a metal detecting thread in another forum...

That's a German WWI Panzer crew badge. That's a German A7 tank depicted in action.

Wow. Have you ever considered donating it to a museum?

This is a bit out of left field....
This cave is world famous for what?

Have talked to the Smithsonian, but they said it most likely would never see the light of day...

Heck if I know - is it one of the caves where remains of ancient animals/humans have been found? Other than that, no clue.

No doubt. Had one guy offer 5K for it, said make it 10K and we'll talk... Hell, my Dad sold one of his CSA plates for 3K.

That cave is the lone source of water used to produce this....
Here's the entrance to the cave where they've erected a statue of Jack Daniels himself...

Edward Teach was his real name but he's better known as Blackbeard.

Exactly. Was known to frequent a tavern which is now the Pirate's House. Oldest standing building in Savannah.
