Wasn't there an earlier in the year thread on him saying Thomas did not care for Miles?

i don't remember that...i don't think there's many people out there that would dislike miles on a personal level but who knows.

The kid is athletic and big, but isn't as nasty as we want. I've seen a lot of film and live. I've heard all longhorn. Wish him the best of luck.

LSU has a very good PETE department. Not sure where you are going with that comment.

Are you sure about that in PETE?

Maybe not, but they are both in the top 10 in the US.

Yeah just saw that on ticker. So we never offered? Good luck to the kid.

How can you gauge someones nastiness?? What is he supposed to drive the kid he's blockin all the way off the field into a bench? Blow snot out his nose on the ref? Wow. That's a nasty kid!

I just think LSU didn't offer for some other reason. Didn't think he was athletic enough to play the OT position effectively. But there are not a whole lot of 6'6 310 kids comin out of HS all the time, especially in your backyard.

Watch Will Clapp play, then compare.

Trai Turner was probably our nastiest guy last year. That's why I was so sad to see him leave early.

I haven't seen Will Clapp, but I hear you. I just think they could have still offered the kid. Nice size. The key thing I'm looking at is that he is a kid. Big ole kid! I think he can learn nastiness. Hell, Will Clapp could rub off on him.

also, the kid (I forget his name right now) that didn't come back from his knee injury, who was a top OT for LSU and turned pro. He would have been a No. 1 pick if he had returned to LSU. He didn't have a nasty disposition if I'm correct?? But he would still drive your arse clean off the field when it came time to play.

He was all everything in vs, if I'm correct. Are you insinuating Thomas is as good in hs as the guy you're referencing?

I don't know how you came up with that. Your perception radar is way off. I'm simply talkin about the trait "nastiness".

Chris Faulk.
I wonder myself the reasoning behind not offering the kid. I trust the coaches evaluations in these type of situations. Just b/c a kid has the measurables does not mean he can cut the mustard. Good luck to him at UT. At least he is going out of conference.

Because we don't need another guard in this class. His feet will make him look silly if Texas puts him at tackle.

Makes sense to me since we have plenty of numbers at guard.
