West Monroe in the late 90's to early 2000s would have beaten the piss out of every Catholic League team.

Shaw and Rummel several times. West Monroe was unstoppable and if you think that any team in the state could have beaten WM in 97,98,99,2000 you are sadly mistaken. In fact, West Monroe beat the piss out of Shaw a few times.

In fact the 98-99 WM team was selected as national champions.... Has there ever been a national champion from the Catholic League?

Look, it's great, fundamental, physical football in the Catholic League but there is no arguing WM's dominance...The only team to slow them down and finally beat them from this state was the UNDEFEATED Evangel squad.... Who also won a national championship in 2001

pretty sure Evangel beat them whenever they played. 1999 definitely and 2001 again.

God dammit dude, you're really gonna make me look this shite up?

Look back at the brackets. Nobody has more 5A titles since 2000

Go to kenramsey

I'm not copying and pasting this crap. Evangel and WM owned the Catholic League when they played.

again, it doesnt mean the district wasn't the best, top to bottom. In terms of competitiveness, prospects, coaching etc.

2000 WM beats St.Aug and Shaw by a combined 52-7

2001 Evangel beats Holy Cross, Shaw, and Rummel in the state tournament, WM runs through the other side and loses in the finals to ECA

2002 Evangel beats Rummel, nobody else makes it past bidistrict from the Catholic League

2003 WM and Evangel make it to the semis where they meet again and evangel wins. Evangel also beat Rummel again in the playoffs... Jesuit makes the quarters

2004 John Ehret beats Rummel, WM beats the piss out of Shaw again 37-13 and they meet again in the finals. No Catholic League teams in the quarters.

I could go in but it's more of the same.

And this is not including the best WM teams from 97-99

Yeah cause that's all you got left.

Saw WM beat Shaw in 2000 in the dome. That was all I needed to see. The stats and records speak for themselves... You'd be hard pressed to find a win vs ECA or WM. Also, it's rare a Catholic League team makes the semis.... Rummel twice, Jesuit twice since 2000 going into the split.

Also, WM beat Rummel 30-0 in the final in 09

Also saw Rummel barely beat a bad Terrebonne team in 2008

Rummel should have won at least one title in the 2001-2003 years. Aside from 2012, those were some of the best teams that Roth had.

Could say the same thing about Jesuit from 96-98. 3 trips to the semifinals.

Also saw Jesuit barely pull off a bs win against Terrebonne in 2010. If you knew the resource differential between those two schools you would be shocked.
