I will throw this on the table...... Awhile back, I rode in a 25ft Contender with a Yamaha 300 and it was hands down the smoothest, most comfortable riding boat I've ever been in. Sooo much room to do whatever you wanted, and it fished 4 people like you were by yourself. It's probably on the high end (70k+), but I would put them up there with Yellowfin and higher than Blue Wave and Pathfinder.

I see those Pangas posted and suggested and talked about (good and bad) all the time on here...but I've yet to see one on the water in Southeast LA. Must be a Florida thing...

I've seen a few around Lake P and the Miss Gulf Coast...but not as many as you would think.

A few of us launched out of Long Beach a few weeks ago and there was a guy with a Andros Panga. My brother asked him how he likes the boat and the guy mentioned that he loved it and was surprised why he didn't see more of them around southern Miss and LA.

I want one...now just isn't the best time.

I'm probably selling my 2002 21ft blazer bay after the summer for that 10-15k range. Looking to upgrade.

Shoot me an e-mail at Tigertjg210@yahoo.com, I'm in Lafayette quite a bit on business and would like to take a look at it if you sell.

Guys, whats the deal with boats not having fish boxes? This is driving me nuts. All these fine boats, no fish box.

What is y'all's answer to this?

I'm thinking about this..... my buddy has a blazer bay 22' and we just normally throw the fish in the front with block ice. I don't know if its technically a fish box, but thats what we use if for. But, i think its a fish box. Its the 22' fisherman, with a 200 4stroke hp (i think). That sum bitch runs like a spotted assed ape though. runs decent in chop too.

Not sure. Mine has 2 big fish boxes in the front which I love. I use one for storage and the other for fish. I hate having to bring an extra ice chest to put fish in and take up room in the boat.

Our answer is an ice chest. Typically a 92 igloo marine to be specific.

Fwiw, i see your sig below. Came across a couple blue waves at a dealer in thibedeuax the other day. Fell in love. Just beautiful. If we could make the numbers work thats what id get right now.

Eta: as far as fish boxes. For example we were looking at the 230 and 246 Key Wests. Great looking boats and seem to be well done. However no fish box. That just rubs me the wrong way.

Because they're over rated pieces of shite

The only people you see who "love" them are ones who fish out of them regularly or know someone who does

Fish one you'll see

The only way I'd consider getting one would be if I was strictly a flats fisherman

Southern Outdoors?? That's where we've bought our last two boats from. Owner is a personal friend of my dad's...unfortunately I have 0 pull, so I can't say "talk to so and so, hell set you up", but I can vouch for his business. I saw he's got a nice one on the lot right now...black hull with white interior...thing is fineeeee.

Ask if he has any older hulls sitting. Our Blue Wave was a 2009 hull, but since it had not been sold (and some other stipulation) I think he was able to get a new tag from Blue Wave certifying it as a 2010. He cut us a good deal, I admit...but if you can find a similar boat that's just taking space on his lot, I'm sure he'd deal with you.
