If we were to somehow keep all 3 of Stek, Mitro and Ruiz, here's what I feel the XI should be:
But here's what I think we're more likely to see (assuming all 3 are gone):
Magath seems to give Amorebieta chance after chance after chance when I feel Burn is a far better option. Hoogland over Voser seems to have been the preference though I tip Voser to start at RB. Hoogland can start at RM if Roberts isn't deemed ready though.

I agree with that first XI but I would switch Mitroglou with Rodallega. Especially with how much more active he has been in preseason. Not just on the field but all the PR stuff he did in Jacksonville.

The fact that Mitro even played today, much less started, gives me a sliver of hope that he will stick around. Unless it was a proof of fitness for a potential sale.

The day is nearly upon us. Hearing that Hertha Berlin say they aren't interested in Mitro.
Looks like we are going into the Ipswich game with Mitro, Ruiz and Stek on the first team. Yet to be seen what Felix does with the squad, though my hunch is Joronen will start in goal even if Stek is in the long-term plans.
Will probably see McCormack start up front with Woodrow: Rodallega and Dembele on the bench. Like Voser and Stafylidis as the wing backs and Felix will probably go with Hoogland on the right side of midfield as extra cover for when Voser pushes forward. Would really like to see David get regular action. Parker is a no brainer and Kacaniklic is likely a shoo-in on the left side.
What do the handful of you other Fulham guys think we'll see on Saturday?

Magath confirmed today that Stek wants out. Looks like it's Joronen's time. Remind me why we let Stockdale go? I guess he would have forced a move anyway if he really did want to leave..

Magath said that a lot of young players will feature this year, so you'll definitely get your wish with David. I'd also like to see what Eisfeld and Hyndman bring to the table.
There is also an interview here with McCormack and he specifically names Patrick Roberts and George Williams, I think we see them this season as well.

Will be very telling to see the 18 he selects for Ipswich. My predictions:
Starting XI: Joronen; Stafylidis, Burn, Hutchinson, Voser; Parker, Kacaniklic, David, Hoogland; McCormack, Woodrow.
Bench: Bettinelli (GK), Dembélé, Rodallega, Eisfeld, Roberts, Bodurov, Amorebieta

I really have no clue. The only thing I have to go by is that we've played a fairly narrow diamond with two strikers and the fullbacks providing the width. So I guess I expect that. I'm not sure where Kacaniklic fits in with that system.
I think it will be Joronen, Staflyidis, Amorebieta, Hutchinson, and Voser as the back five. I feel confident about all of those except for Amorebieta. I just get this sense Magath isn't super high on Burn.
Parker at the base of the diamond, David as the 10. The other two spots, who fricking knows. He's seemed more than willing to play kids, seems to like both Williamses, and it wouldn't shock me to see Hyndman or Christensen as one of the other two central midfielders. I expect Eisfeld to at least be in the 18, but I'm not sure if Magath seems him as anything but competition/cover for the AM (anytime he's ever mentioned him it's been "he's a good attacking player", etc.)
I'm not clear about the strikers either. McCormack hasn't featured for a while as he's seemingly been just trying to get in shape, so I dunno if he'll start. Nothing would shock me. Dembele and Woodrow wouldn't shock me. McCormack and Roddalega might be our two best guys at this point (not potential wise) so I would like to see that, if they're fit.
Tldr: I have no fricking clue. It's kind of exciting.

My guess is, for the most part, Hoogland's a very important utility player (RB, central midfield, even an emergency center back), but maybe not a regular starter.
Given the length of the season, he'd certainly start plenty of games anyway.

What are the chances of Hyndman playing decent minutes with the first team this year? Slim?

No one really has a clue to be honest.
We all thought Fulham would bring in more central midfielders. That seemed like one of the weakest areas going in, and not only did we not bring in many central midfielders (Eisfeld from Arsenal, Hoogland can play there), we seem to be playing a narrow 4-4-2 diamond.
So theoretically there are spots open. He's not the only good young prospect at CM Fulham has though.
So yeah, no clue whatsoever. It wouldn't shock me if he started tomorrow, it wouldn't shock me if he went out on loan and didn't play a minute. Magath was willing to play kids last year, granted they mostly were up top.
ETA: His chances look better than they did at the start of training. Just because of a lack of new arrivals, the system, game time in friendlies, etc.

Given the nature of the Championship season (46 games, FA Cup, Cap One Cup, etc.), plenty of people will get plenty of action. This includes Hyndman. He featured quite a bit in preseason.
To Crede's point, Magath seems keen on a lot of the kids, as well he should. Fulham's Academy has been one of the most loaded for several years now. Guys like George Williams, Patrick Roberts, and Hyndman will be given a chance to shine.
Wouldn't be surprised to see a couple of the kids go out on loan either. Though I think Hyndman is likely to stay with Fulham.

Completely agree, but think you may be right. I don't rate the guy at all and he's honestly never even shown flashes of brilliance that make you think he could be a solid player.
Maybe in the Championship it's a different story, but with the league as wide open and competitive as it will be this year, we have to be rock solid at the back. Would love to see Cameron Burgess get some time back there, especially in the Cups.

I'm a bit higher on Amor than you - I thought he improved towards the end of the year. His ability to play LB means I want to keep him.
The wild card (frick there are tons of wild cards) is Bodurov. For all we know Felix thinks that guy is our best CB. It would be fantastic to get off to a nice start while guys get fit/we figure out what the team is/bring people in

Pretty fortunate that we're the late game, as far as streams go.
We signed some 30 year old journeyman central midfielder named Mark Fotheringham. Released by Notts County, was a trialist. I'm ignoring that and hoping it goes away.
I'm a bit surprised by the lack of loans. Hell, I hate Chelsea as much as anyone but I wouldn't be against snagging one of their guys. Maybe the thought is our kids are good enough.

Could well be that he turns out to be a quality player in the Championship. Just wasn't up to snuff in the PL. I hardly blame him and him alone for the club being relegated.
We added Mark Fotheringham, 30, a central midfielder yesterday on a one-year deal. He'll wear #26. Likely brought in as a depth add. Has played a lot in his native Scotland and spent last season with Notts County. Accounts indicate he was on trial in the East Fife game last month.

Definitely. I'm enjoying the League One opener between Sheff Utd and Bristol Rovers right now. Will be good to at least have the Fulham feed for later.
Wonder if S has any good Championship tips for feeds.

Really just hoping Ross is fit. He didn't feature a ton in the preseason.
