I think Sky put all their chips in with Froome. Wiggins is at home resting probably with a brandy

Since Contador went out, it's been extremely boring. It doesn't help that the Tour courses are terrible compared to the other Grand Tours, especially the Giro.

At home geting ready for the Comonwealth games then doing the Vuelta as prep for the World TTs.

He would be Skys 4th last man imo, he's a big loss to the press and the press only.

For the first time I actually called someone out as doping in Nibali. His turn around from Dauphine to Tour suits the whole take blood in June use it in July speal, and while he's not racing the best of the ebst the way he dropped Valverde and Pinot and put 20 seconds into them in about 1 minute was pretty suspect imo.

Anyway great btrtle going on for the podium, I think TJ could get it

Decent stage I guess, the battle for the podium was interesting. valverde cracked. Nibali went for another stage win but couldn't catch Majka

Kittel seems almost unbeatable when he contests.

If Sagan really wants a stage win he needs to change his approach, going into the break to pick up some needless points from the intermediate point is just wasting energy for no gain. He has it wrapped up, and doesn't need to take points here and there, instead he should be riding in the grupetto saving energy.

Edit: Just seen the weather report, potential for 60km/h winds

Echelons

I know they will catch these guys up but how the hell is the peloton 8 minutes behind the two échappés after only 44 kms

Oh yeah Jack Bauer leading the way
He's badass at everything

These guys got caught 50m from the finish line. Damn, that's rough.

Kristoff beats Sagan AGAIN.

and for everyone who had lost interest in the tour, i challenge you to watch today's stage and tell me that it lacked excitement and emotion.

SPOILER ALERT!!!

holy cow just read that jack bauer didn't even get the most combative rider prize, it was the other guy (martin elmiger) who initiated the break? heartbreaking for bauer...

Elmiger was definitely the more active if the two. Really sucks that he got caught with 50m to go. That's sad.

And in the least surprising news of the tour

Valverde will defend his podium position...god forbid he actually try and win something for once

Alsao rui Costa has withdrawn with pneumonia, not surprisng he withdrew in the end he was really suffering up the climbs

Hopefully, Slaying The Badger ESPN's 30 for 30 doc tonight, is a little more interesting than this years tour.
