No, but I've seen highlights and know that he was good at STM. But Harris was also really good in high school and has been working his arse off since. I don't know that a year in community college puts him over the hump. Not trying to discount him, but it's a really, really, really big stretch.

Well like I said, He MIGHT be. If it came down to him playing, we'll be in trouble anyway because we wouldn't have a back up.

I am asking what happens if we lose ONE and there is no good 3rd option. Will the coaches then cut back the offense in trying to protect the ONE good option that we have? Knowing that a QB does not have a solid backup can cause coaches to be more cautious in how they call the game. Keeping max protect in more of the time. Rolling him out where he is away from defenders. Not having him run as much. Stuff like that. Just wondering how a coach would change the game plan knowing that if the one guy they have goes down, the season is over.

Nah. i think they'll run it the same. We have Bolden and Bergeron in case of anything like that happening. At most, they'll tell him to just slide every time.

You act like other teams are just hording QBs.

Literally any other team in the country suffers season ending injuries to their top two QBs, they'll be up a river without a paddle.

That's what I want to say lol. How many back up QBs can you name in the country? Then, how many 3rd string QBs can you name? Usually the third string QB is a project, career backup, true/redshirt freshman. How helpful is that? Bergeron has played JUCO, Bolden had played Power 5 level competition. There are very few teams with 3rd and reserve QBs with that much college experience. We'd be fine in an emergency.

indicate your a dip- shite.

First, you can't spell someone's name that you are touting as being a stud quarterback because you saw him play in high school and now this? I'm pretty sure you shouldn't be throwing around low IQ insults around so liberally you mouth breathing retard. Christ.

But back to the meat of your stupidity, you most certainly said LSU would be happy with him at QB. Actually, you said ANY team would be happy with "McGee" as their third guy. That is fricking retarded. I wouldn't expect anything different from you.

What happens if either Jennings or Harris go down with an injury in camp or early in the season.

Bolden (former Penn State starter)

Diarse, Magee, and Melvin Jones all played QB in HS.

Magee looked like Michael Vick when he won state championship for Franklinton.

This kid is pretty Legit and might be the best QB on our team RIGHT NOW

whoa....

from what I've read he probably would be serviceable but may not have the arm to make all the throws.

I'm sure we would become more run heavy if we were down to second string QB, and we would adjust QB play around their strengths. I think with our our strengths being O line, D and our running game it would be nearly as devastating as it would be to most teams/

He can be solid as a 3rd string QB and walk on.

Bergeron was first team all conference in JUCO - in the same conference Mettenberger came from.

Exactly.. and some pretty reputable writer said he looks at times every bit as good as Mettenberger.. so it's at least encouraging..

Most if not all SEC teams only have 2 really good QB's. If they end up with 3. Someone usually transfers. So IF the one and two QB's go down I say (not LSU), dip shite. That Mcgee could handle more than a few snaps at QB.
Your trying to hard. Winning a point over a capital letter never works.
And you could not have seen Mcgee play QB. If you had you would never have posted anything about his skills a QB.
But keep posting. Every thread needs a dick like you.

This seems like flawed logic... Proof?

To those of us who grew up in the sixties we can all recall Pat Screen and Nelson Stokely getting injured right before the Ole Miss and Bama weekends with Captain Easy Billy Ezell and Billy Broussard taking the helm. Ezell did have his moment of glory vs Ole Miss in 1964 ( ala Jennings vs ARkansas) but still a scary thought. I have never liked the option QB - OK if ahead and controlling the game, but tough if you gotta come from behind and drive length of field in fourth quarter and your starter and maybe backup are out.

ame reasoning lots of NFL coaches carry 2 QB's, because if you are having to rely on your #3, your season is fricked anyway

yea but in the NFL they can go out and sign a guy that will come in and maybe give them a chance to win

Whats the story with Bolden? Didnt he start at Penn St? It would seem that he would be able to compete for the the back up job here and give us some depth. How good/bad is he, talent wise?
